Set Up and Operating Instructions for Remote Control Model R550To setup the remote:Direct Entry method:Press and hold CODE SEARCH until the red lights stays on. Press and release TV, VCR, CBL,AUX, AUX1, AUX2, or AUX3. Enter the three digit code for your TV, VCR, etc., from the code list.Code Search method:Manually turn on the device you want to control (TV, VCR, etc.).Press and hold CODE SEARCH until the red light stays on.Press TV, VCR, CBL, etc.Press the power button repeatedly until the device turns off. This may take up to 300 tries.When the device turns off, press MUTE to complete the setup.If you skip past the code (i. e, press power again after the device turns off) press CHANNEL DOWNto go back.Operation:You do not need to aim the remote at anything. The remote transmits wireless Radio Frequency (RF)commands to the RF to IR converter, Model P550 which converts the command back to Infrared (IR)commands to control your TV, VCR, Cable Box, etc.F.C.C.
