3. Abstract
This document describes the installation procedure and the operational requirements to operate
properly the GT Stove 2 system RF handset.
4. Definitions
Automatic mode Thermostatic: the flame level is automatically set by the remote depending on the SET room
temperature and the actual room temperature
Manual mode The flame level is set manually by the user
STANDBY The appliance is off.
CRONO Time program mode: the remote switches ON/OFF the burner depending on the set time
program

The RF handset is a remote control based on RF transmission, specifically designed to operate
with GT Stove 2 system, in combination with a specific RF receiver module.

8. Uses instructions
8.1 Preliminary operations
Insert the 3 AAA batteries in the back battery seat.
9. Operations
9.1 Clock regulation
Quick description: clock regulation is done by mean of keys C and D.
As soon as the batteries are newly inserted the time’s digits blink.
After first power on (batteries insertion).
The keys “C”, increments (“UP” side) and decrements (“DOWN” side) the hour, minute and week’s day
value, the keys “D” set the on going modification’s value among hour, minutes, and week’s day. After
week’s day regulation, pushing “D” key sets automatically the operational mode “OFF”.
During operation, press contemporarily for 3 seconds the pushbuttons “D” and “B”, the written
“CLOCK” will appear. To change the clock settings, repeat the above described operations.
During operation
9.2 Switching ON/OFF
Quick description: keep key “A” pressed at least 2 seconds.
By pressing the pushbutton “A” for at least 2 seconds, the stove and the handset are switch ON/OFF.
When the remote is switched OFF, the display shows the time, day, room temperature and if enabled,
“CRONO” symbol.

9.3 Automatic/Manual mode selection
Quick description: press “B” key
With stove lighted, by pressing “B” key the operational mode is switched from manual to automatic (see
par. 4) and vice versa.
When automatic mode is active, the display shows the SET temperature value and the “AUTO” icon.
When manual mode is active, the display shows the “MAN” icon, the flame’s icon and the actually
set flame level. If level 5 is currently active, the icon “MAX” below the flame’s icon appears
9.4 Manual mode burner level selection
Quick description: press “C” key
Press “C” (“UP” and “DOWN”) key to move upward and downward in burner flame’s level. The
operation is not cyclic.
In manual mode it’s not possible to have a flame level lower than level 1.
9.5 Automatic mode operation
When automatic mode is selected, the remote checks the room temperature by mean of an internal NTC at
a fixed time interval. Depending on the difference between set room temperature and actual room
temperature, the remote proceeds to modulate the flame increasing or decreasing the flame level with 1
level’s step.
The remote modulates the flame by means of RF signals at 315MHz.
10. Menu navigation
Quick description: by “D” key pressure.
By pressing “D” key, it’s possible to move sequentially to the accessory functions “fan level”,“sleep” and
“program”, in this order; with a further pressure of “D” key the display operation comes back to the active
operational mode
If no key is pressed within 7 seconds from the menu navigation’s activation, the display comes back to
the active operational mode.

10.1 Fan Control
There is 2 Fans; every Fan has 5 speed level + auto level + OFF level. The level is settable by “C”.
If display shows number 1 it means that the user is setting the first FAN, if press “D” button, display
shows number 2 and the user can set second FAN speed level.
10.2 Sleep function
“Sleep function” can be set, after having accessed to the related menu (see par. 10). The activation of
sleep function is postponed from the activation of a fixed time, settable (increase/decrease) at 15 minutes
interval. The remaining time to sleep activation substitutes the current time indication on the display.
After the deactivation of sleep menu (7 seconds without any key pressure or further “D” key pressure),
the countdown to sleep activation appears on the display. As soon as sleep mode activation’s occurs, the
current time is again shown.
If, during the sleep activation waiting interval a STANDBY activation is scheduled by CRONO program,
it is ignored and the operation proceeds until SLEEP intervention, while a manual STANDBY or shut
OFF disables the previous SLEEP command.
When SLEEP is on air, the shape of SLEEP icon is only active.
10.3 Crono program function
“CRONO” mode program can be set directly by “D” key pressure is the burner is OFF, otherwise
accessing to MENU navigation (see par. 10).
Once entered in program MENU navigation, the last set program is loaded, also OFF if the CRONO was
previously disabled.
When CRONO is on air, the shape of CRONO icon is only active while the filled icon appears only
during regulation.
There are 10 weekly programs P1-P10 and 60 personal program settable in P99.
When the user is setting a personal program a icon appears.
To disable CRONO operation set the “OFF” selection.
This function is settable also if the RF handset is OFF pressing “D” button.

11. Keyboard lock/unlock
By keeping pressed “D” key al least for 5 seconds, the keyboard is locked/unlocked. The locking icon
appears: .
12. °C/°F
With remote OFF, keeping pressed “B” key at least for 5 seconds, the temperature unit changes from
Celsius to Fahrenheit degrees and vice versa.

14. WEEE statement
In conformity with European directive 2002/96/CE, this product is classed in the
category of electrical and electronic equipment subject to the requirements for separate
waste collection and recycling. It carries the selective waste disposal mark. This indicates
that it should not be disposed of with other domestic waste, but should be left at an
appropriate collection point provided by your local authority. It will be returned to an
approved centre which will reuse and recycle its constituent parts, whilst neutralising any possible
substances harmful to health or the environment. By participating in separate waste collection, you
are contributing to reducing wastefulness of our natural resources.
