BEST LOCATIONS
select a detector location that will provide the coverage required while
keeping tn mind the tollowing potential problems:
Reflective § fl§§g§
Do not aim the detecttxr at reflective suffices such as mliTOYs Or
windows as this may distort the coverage pattern or reflect sunlight
directly onto the detector
Mt
Amid locations that are subject to direct high air HOW such as near a"
air duct Quite!
Moisture
Do not lomte the detector near sources or steam or oil
Mn
Do nut aim the detectur such Ihat it wlil receive director teflecled
(mirror) sunlight
Obstrucllnn
no not limit the coverage by large obiects within the detection area
such as olants ortiling cabinets
Pet Re action
Do not aim the detector at a stairway which a pet has access to and
do not place lurniture or objects higher than 3 ft / 0.9 m which a pet
can climb onto (a g a cat on a couch), closerthan Sit/18 rn to the
detector.
