Important Notice

equipped with a television viewer or screen that is located in the motor vehicle at any
point forward of the back of the driver's seat, or that is visible, directly or indirectly, to
the driver while operating the vehicle. In the interest of safety, the armrest video monitor
should never be installed where it will be visible, directly or indirectly, by the operator of
the motor vehicle. Safety Precaution
For safety reasons, when changing a video disc, it is recommended that the vehicle not be
in motion, and that you do not allow children to unfasten seatbelts to change disc or to
make any adjustments to the system. System adjustments can be accomplished using the
remote control unit, while seatbelts remain fastened. Enjoy your entertainment system but
remember - Safety of all passengers remains the number one priority.

Screen Rotation Instructions
Step 1: Lift the screen up to vertical (the maximum angle is 800. See Figure 1)
Step 2: Rotate the screen clockwise 180 degrees (screen will lock in position
via detents)

1. Power Key: Press to power the system on or off
2. Source Key: Press to change the video source (DVD, AUX)

Remote Control Operation

Battery Installation Instructions
Before operating your remote control, install the batteries as described below.
1. Turn the remote control face down. Press down on the ridged area of the
battery cover and slide it off.
2. Install (2) "AAA" batteries as shown. Make sure that proper polarity (+ or -) is
observed.
3. Slide the cover back until it clicks.
The remote control will operate the armrest console only. It is not a universal remote
control and will not control equipment from any other manufacturers.

Remote Control Function Descriptions
1. POWER
Press this button to turn the unit ON. The current video source will
be displayed on screen, and the picture will appear in a few seconds.
Press the button again to turn the unit OFF
2. SOURCE
Any video equipment connected to the AV inputs can be used with
the monitor by pressing this button. Each time the button is pressed,
the AV source will change in the following sequence DVD, AV.
3. EJECT

4. SETUP
Navigate DVD SETUP MENU, These are 4 pages to configure
system:
(1) General Setup page
(2) Audio Setup Page

5. Menu
Go to Root Menu included in the disc

7. UP
Use this button to scroll OSD menu upwards.
8. RIGHT
Use this button to scroll OSD menu to Right.

Use this button to scroll OSD menu to Left.
10. DOWN
Use this button to scroll OSD menu downwards.
11. ENTER
Make a selection or begin the disc playing
12. PLAY/PAUSE
Press this button to play or pause a movie while disc is loaded into the disc compartment. For
more information, consult the DVD basics section
13. STOP
Stop playing the movie or songs
STOP : Play: resume playing from point disc was stopped at.
STOP : STOP : Play: Starts playing from beginning of disc.
14. PREV
Play the previous chapter or track.

15. NEXT
Play the next chapter or track.
16. FF(Fast Forward)
Press button to search disc forward continuously. There are 5 speed options to choose: 2X,
4X,8X,16X, and 32X.
17. FR(Fast Rewind)
Press button to search disc backward continuously. There are 5 speed options to choose like
FF ( Fast Forward) is.
18. REPEAT(Except VCD with PBC on)
Repeats part or all of a chapter, title, track, or an entire disc.
19. A-B(Except MP3)
Repeat from point A to point B.
20. GOTO
Navigate the Goto Menu and go to the desired title, chapter, track or song inside the disc.
21. TITLE
Navigate the Title Menu included in the disc.
22. SUBTITLE
Change the subtitle language to another available language or set off (only if the disc contains
Multiple subtitle languages).
23. ANGLE
View with a different camera angle(This button takes effect only on the DVD that supports
frames with multiple angles).
24. AUDIO
Change the audio language to another available language( only if the disc contains multiple
audio languages).
25. DISPLAY
Show information on the left-up corner on the screen including Title, chapter/track, time
elapsed, and time remained, or turn off the display.
26. PROGRAM
Edit a playback program containing desired titles in the DVD or tracks in the CD-DA
27. RANDOM
Plays titles randomly
28. 3D
Control virtual 3D sound effect. The options are off, Rock, Pop, Live, Dance, Techno, Classic
and soft
29. ZOOM
(1) Enlarge the picture in the movie by 2x, 3x and 4x.
(2) Shrink the picture in the movie by 1/2x,1/3x, and 1/4x.
30. PBC ( Video CD only)
Turn the PBC ( Play Back Control) on or off.

31. NUMBERS
(1) Decimal number: 0 to 9
(2)+100: Add 100
32. AUTO MEMORY (If TV mode is available)
When the AUTO MEMORY button is pressed, all channels in TV mode are searched and
tuned ; all the channels with signals detected are automatically stored.
33. ERASE/ADD (If TV mode is available)
When tuned to a channel, press this button to store or erase the channel from memory. The
stored channel numbers are displayed in green on the screen, and the non-stored channel
numbers are in red. When the SKIP mode is on, the unit will be tuned to only the stored
channels when using the UP/DOWN buttons.
34. SKIP/SEARCH (If TV mode is available)
This button selects between SKIP and SEARCH modes. In SKIP mode, the TV only stops on
channels that are programmed into memory when the UP/DOWN buttons are used. When the
SKIP mode is off, TV will stop on all active channels.
35. R-S (If TV mode is available)
This button selects between Air TV and CATV modes.
36. SOUND AROUND SELECT(If fm transmitter is available)
Select a FM transmitter channel. See Accessory Instruction section for detailed channel info.
37. SOUND AROUND ON/OFF (If fm transmitter is available)
Turns FM Transmitter power ON/OFF.
38. MUTE (For DVD only )
Press this button to shut off the sound at the headphone station. The screen will display that
the sound has been turned off. Pressing the button again restores sound to the previously set
Level.
39. PIX (Picture Selection)
Each time this button is pressed, the picture adjustment OSD cycles through bars for
BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, COLOR, and TINT. Once the desired adjustment bar is
displayed, use the RIGHT/LEFT button to adjust the setting. The bar display will automatically
disappear, if no adjustments are made with in 6 seconds or if any other button is pressed.
40. TV –Not applicable
41. DVD – Depress for using remote to control armrest video console.

General Operating Instruction
Turning the unit ON or OFF
1. Pivot/rotate the screen until a comfortable viewing angle is reached. The internal friction detent
will hold the screen in position while the system is in use.
2. Pressing the POWER button on the left-button corner of the front panel or the remote will turn
the system on or off alternately. When in use, the internal backlighting will illuminate the
buttons.
3. The unit will also power on when a disc is inserted into the slot.
4. Remember to turn the unit off and pivot the LCD to the locked position when not in use.
Remote Sensor
The unit has an integrated infrared signal which relays signals from the remote
control by simply pointing the remote control at the remote sensor eye (located at
the top of the monitor) and depressing the remote control buttons.

Accessory Instructions
Wireless Headphones
The unit includes a built-in single channel infrared transmitter for use with wireless IR
headphones. The volume can be adjusted with the control on each headset. The wireless
headphones must be used within a line of sight from the transmitter as infrared transmission, like
visible light travels only in a straight line. The IR transmitters are located just above the top of the
LCD screen.
Wired Headphone
There are two 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone jacks on the unit that can be used with any standard
stereo headphones (not included) Rotate the plastic cover to access the jacks. Remember to
close the cover when the jacks are not in use.
Wireless FM Transmitter (may be optional)
Your video system may be equipped with an RF transmitter, which allows you to listen to the
audio signal through your vehicle's radio to the selected frequency, (odd:
88.3,88.7,89.1,89.5,89.9,90.3,Mhz (when odd stations are enabled) even:
88.4,88.8,89.2,89.6,90.0,90.4 Mhz (when even stations enabled) When the transmitter is
turned on, it may interfere with normal radio station listening. In this case you must turn off the
transmitter.
AUX AV Input
An additional AV input may be connected to this unit such as video game system, or other AV
source. To play the 2nd AV source, turn the unit on and press the SOURCE button on the remote
control until " AV " is displayed on the screen. Turn the source component on with its power
button or remote control. The system is now ready to play the audio and video signals from the
source connected to "AV INPUT" port on front panel. Rotate the plastic cover to access the jacks.
Remember to close the cover when the jacks are not in use.
Please note：" AV INPUT " source input is exposed for the user to be able to temporarily connect
additional AV source, such as games, camcorders, etc.. See page 7 for further
description of the "AV INPUT" location.
USB Input
A USB device may be operated by first connecting the device with the USB connection on the
unit. The USB device can be played by selecting “DVD” as the video source. The USB device will
automatically start up upon connection, thereby overriding the DVD disc. Disconnect the USB
device to play discs. Rotate the plastic cover to access the USB connection. Remember to close
the cover when the USB Jack is not in use.

DVD Basics
To get the optimum use out of DVD, make sure you read this section
completely.
Regional Coding
Both the DVD player and disc are coded by region. These regional codes must match in order for
the disc to play. If the codes don't match, the disc won't play. This units code is set to the region it
is being shipped to. By default, other regional codes cannot be played in this unit.
Types of Discs Your DVD Player Will Play
DVD-Video: DVD contains video
CD-DA: CD contains musical or sound content only
CD-Video: CD contains movie only
CD-R/RW: A disc that contains audio files (for example, a CD-R with downloaded
MP3 Files, MPEG, or JPEG files)
Loading and Playing Discs
Before you load a disc, make sure that it is compatible with the player. Note that
the following discs CANNOT be used with this player：
Optical disc
CD-1, CD-ROM (computer data/software), DVD-ROM (computer data/software)
Mini disc
CDG (audio only, not graphics).
Loading and Playing a Disc
When you press the POWER button the unit is on and in DVD mode. Load the disc by inserting
label side facing up and insert into the dvd slot. The unit will pull the disc in and load automatically.
Press the play button to begin playing the disc.

Settings and Adjustments
This chapter describes how to adjust settings using the on-screen setup pages included in the
SETUP MENU.
Using the Setup Menu
Using the setup menu, you can do the initial setup, adjust the picture quality, and set the various
output. You can also set a language for the on-screen display and the setup display, and limit
playback by children.
(1) Press the SETUP button to display the icons and pages on the display screen.
(2) Select the desired page you want by using W X button to move the cursor.
To Cancel the Setup Display
Press the SETUP button on the remote.
Setting the Language for On-Screen Display
Press the SETUP button, use the buttons W X to navigate to the General Setup Page, and
then use the T button to select OSD Language
OSD (On Screen Display) Language Menu
The OSD Lang sub-menu allows the user to select the language for the on-screen display. Press
X and then use the buttons ST to select the desired language. The user can select English,
French, Spanish, German, Chinese, and Japanese for the OSD language.

Settings for Display
Press the SETUP button, use WX buttons to navigate to the General Setup Page, and then the
T button to select TV Display sub-menu. The setup allows you to adjust screen setting (aspect
ratio). Press X and then use the buttons ST to select the appropriate setting. The options are as
follows:
Normal/PS (Pan and Scan)
This displays the wide picture on the screen with a portion of the left & right sides removed
.
Normal/LB (Letter-Box)
This display the wide picture with black bands on the upper and lower portions of the screen.
Wide (16:9)
This option is chosen if the LCD panel is of wide screen.
Then press ENTER to confirm the screen.
Default Settings
Press the SETUP button, and use buttons WX and X to go to the Default sub-menu under
preference Page. The default setup allows you to reset all options to factory defaults. Press X
and then press ENTER to carryout the reset.
Note: This function will not affect the parental setting.

Settings for Parental (Parental Control)
(Accessible only when no disc is loaded)
This section of the SETUP MENU allows users to control the content of movie playback from
G to ADULT. The parental control function allows you to limit viewing to your preference.
1. After navigating to the Parental sub-menu under Preference Page, use
theTS buttons to select from:
KID SAF (Children)
G
PG
PG 13
PGR
R
NC-17
ADULT
Note: The lower the value, the more strict the limitation.
2. Press the ENTER button to confirm the selection.
3. Input a password in 6 digits using the numeric buttons then press the ENTER
button.
Note: The default password is 136900.

Settings for Password (Parental Control Password)
(With no disc loaded)
Press the SETUP button and navigate to the Password submenu under Password Setup Page.
The menu appears and allows you to change the parental control password.
Press X and then press ENTER.
OLD PASSWORD
Input the old password or the default password (6 digits).
NEW PASSWORD
Input a new password (6 digits) using numeric buttons.
CONFIRM PWD
Confirm the new password by entering the same new password again.
Then navigate to the OK button and press ENTER to implement it.

Playing an Audio CD
When playing an audio CD, the DISPLAY banner appears automatically. It displays the current
track and the amount of the time for that track playing, the total amount of time on the disc and
the current time running on the disc. Press the DISPLAY button on the remote to display the
DISPLAY banner. The options below show you what happens when you press the DISPLAY
button.
Press Display (1X)
“Single Elapsed " appears along with the current track playing and the time of that track.
Press DISPLAY (2x)
“Single Remain " appears along with the current track playing and the amount of time left.
Press DISPLAY (3x)
“Total Elapsed " appears along with the current track playing and the total time playing on CD.
Press DISPLAY (4x)
“Total Remain " appears along with the current track playing and the amount of time left on CD.
Using the REPEAT Feature
The default mode for the REPEAT feature is OFF. Pressing the REPEAT button consecutively
changes the REPEAT options as follows:
Track -repeats the track that is playing
All -repeats the disc that is playing
As you toggle through the options, the REPEAT option changes that time. The track repeats once
that track has ended. The selected repeat option loops repeatedly until you turn it off.

Playing an MP3 Disc
MP3 is the format for storing digital audio. An audio CD quality song can be
compressed into the MP3 format with very little loss of quality, while taking up
much less space. CD-R/RW discs that have been encoded in MP3 format can be
played on your DVD player.
Selecting Folders and Songs
When a MP3 disc is inserted in the player,
the navigation screen appears automatically.
You can change folders and songs by
navigating the file system. The DVD player
plays the songs in order they were burned
onto the disc.
1. If a disc is playing, press STOP. Press the
UP or DOWN arrow button to go through the
folder list on the left side of the navigation
screen.
2. Once the folder you want is highlighted, press
ENTER.
3. Press the UP or Down arrow button to go
through the song list and highlight the song you
want. Press Enter to begin the playback of the
highlighted song
Skipping Songs
Use the NEXT () button on the remote control to move to the next page of songs. Use the
PREV () button to move to the beginning of the song that is currently playing. Press the button
2 times to move to the previous page of songs.
Selecting a Play Mode
You can choose what order the songs will temporarily play on a disc. The FOLDER play mode is
the default. To access the play mode options, press REPEAT button.
The play mode options are as follows:
z Single: Plays a selected song
z Folder: Plays the folder in the order the songs were recorded
Using the REPEAT Feature
The default mode for the repeat feature is OFF. Pressing REPEAT consecutively changes the
repeat option:
‧ Repeat One -Repeats the songs that are playing
‧ Repeats Folder -Repeats the folder that is playing

Connecting a USB Device
You can connect a USB mass storage class device such as a USB memory stick,
digital audio player, etc. to the USB port.
Selecting Folders and Songs
When a USB device is connected to the
port, the navigation screen appears
automatically unless the contained file has
auto play; such as a movie. Then you must
hit stop on the remote to open the
navigation menu. You can change folders
and files by navigating the menu.
1. If a file is playing, press STOP. Press the
UP or DOWN arrow button to go through
the folder list on the left side of the
navigation screen.
2. Once the folder you want is highlighted,
press ENTER.
3. Press the UP or Down arrow button to go
through the file list and highlight the file you
want. Press Enter to select the highlighted file.
4. If a picture file is selected you may hit the STOP
button on the remote to show the thumbnails and
options list. A thumbnail may be selected and
viewed full screen or select on the following:
Slideshow: displays thumbnails full screen size
at Random. Menu: displays a list of picture fun-
tions. Or you may choose the previous or next
option which allows you to view the previous or
next thumbnail.

Warnings
Do not use any solvents or cleaning materials when cleaning the video
system.
Do not use any abrasive cleaners, they may scratch the screen. Use only a
lightly dampened lint free cloth to wipe the screen if it is dirty.
Close the LCD screen in the fully closed position when not in use.
Before putting on headphones always adjust the volume setting to the lowest
position.
Do not put pressure on the screen.
Caution children to avoid touching or scratching the screen, as it may
become dirty or damaged.
Trouble Shooting
(Q1) IR Sensor Inoperative
(1) Verify that the batteries in the remote are fresh.
(2) Verify that the remote sensor eye is not obstructed.
(3) Aim toward sensor, near top of monitor.
(4) Select on the remote control “DVD” to control the armrest
console
(Q2) No Picture
(1) Verify that the correct video source mode is used on the monitor
(DVD/AUX AV).
(2) Verify that the video cable is plugged into the jack securely (if the a/v
inputs are being used)
(Q3) No Sound
(1) Verify that the correct audio input mode is used on the monitor.
(2) Verify that the audio cable is plugged into jack securely (if the a/v inputs
are being used).
