Install it from the CD-ROM supplied with your camcorder.To install and use this software in Windows 2000 Professional, you must be authorizedas a Power Users or Administrators. For Windows XP, you must be authorized asAdministrators.(1)Turn on your computer and allow Windows to load.If you are using your computer, close all running applications.(2)Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.The application software starts up and the title screen appears. If you charge the battery outside of this temperature range, youmay not be able to efficiently charge the battery pack.•After charging is completed, either disconnect the cable from the DC IN jack on yourcamcorder or remove the battery pack.Effective use of the battery pack•Battery pack performance decreases in low-temperature surroundings. 194Maintenance information and precautionsMoisture condensationIf your camcorder is brought directly from a cold place to a warm place, moisture maycondense inside your camcorder, on the surface of the tape, or on the lens. In thiscondition, the tape may stick to the head drum and be damaged or your camcorder maynot operate correctly. If there is moisture inside your camcorder, the beep sounds andthe % indicator flashes. When theZ indicator flashes at the same time, the cassette is inserted in your camcorder. Ifmoisture condenses on the lens, the indicator will not appear.If moisture condensation occurredNone of the functions except cassette ejection will work. Eject the cassette, turn off yourcamcorder, and leave it for about one hour with the cassette compartment open. Yourcamcorder can be used again if the % indicator does not appear when the power isturned on again.If moisture starts to condense, your camcorder sometimes cannot detect condensation.If this happens, the cassette is sometimes not ejected for ten seconds after the cassettelid is opened. This is not a malfunction.
