Resetting
There are two ways to reset HCB-108. A hardware
reset or a master reset. You should perform a
hardware reset if HCB-108 behaves unexpectedly and
a master reset to reset the HCB-108 settings.
To do a hardware reset
•Press for 8-10 seconds. HCB-108 turns
off.
To do a master reset
1. Turn on HCB-108.
2. Press and hold down and
simultaneously for two seconds. The Bluetooth
indicator light flashes blue and a sound is heard.
See picture 4.
3. Press and hold down and
simultaneously for two seconds. A sound is heard,
HCB-108 turns off and is reset to the factory default
settings.
4. Pair HCB-108 with the phone again.
Troubleshooting
No connection to the phone
•Make sure HCB-108 is charged and within range
(10 metres, 33 feet) of the phone.
•Check or redo the Bluetooth settings in the phone.
•Repeat the pairing procedure.
HCB-108 is automatically turned off
•Turn on HCB-108. HCB-108 switches off after
10 minutes if the paired phone is out of range.
•Charge the battery. The status light turns red and
you hear a sound when charging is needed.
Replacing the battery
1. Remove the lid and the battery. See picture 5.
2. Reinsert the battery and the lid in reverse order.

El altavoz HCB-108 Bluetooth™ para coche es un
altavoz inalámbrico que se instala rápidamente. Sujeto
en la visera del coche, HCB-108 ofrece todas las

Carga
Para cargar HCB-108

Asociación
Para poder utilizar HCB-108 con el teléfono, debe

Nota:

The Bluetooth™ Car Speakerphone HCB-108 is a
quick install wireless speakerphone. Attached to the
sun visor, HCB-108 enables in-car handsfree
functionality. This User guide focuses on usage with a
Sony Ericsson mobile phone.
Charging
To charge HCB-108
Before you use HCB-108 for the first time, you must
charge it with the supplied charger for ten hours or
until the red status light turns green. See picture 2.
Pairing
Before you can use HCB-108 with your phone, it has
to be paired once with the phone. Follow the
Bluetooth instructions in your phone User guide.
Note:
HCB-108 enters pairing mode the first time it is
turned on or after a master reset.
To pair HCB-108 with the phone
1. Mobile phone: Turn on Bluetooth.
2. Mobile phone: Turn on Bluetooth visibility. This
makes the phone visible to other Bluetooth devices.
3. Mobile phone: Place the phone within range
(10 metres, 33 feet) of HCB-108.
4. HCB-108: When HCB-108 is in pairing mode, the
Bluetooth indicator light flashes blue and a sound is
heard. If HCB-108 is not in pairing mode, you have
to enter pairing mode manually by pressing and
holding down and simultaneously for
two seconds. See picture 4.
5. Mobile phone: Follow the instructions in your phone
User guide on how to add a new Bluetooth device.
The passcode for HCB-108 is 0000.
6. HCB-108: When phone is paired and connected, the
Bluetooth indicator light shows a steady blue light
and a sound is heard.
Note:
HCB-108 can only be paired with one phone at a
time. If another phone is paired, the previous pairing
information is lost. HCB-108 leaves pairing mode after
10 minutes if you do not pair it with the phone.
In the car
To install HCB-108 in the car
•Fasten HCB-108 to the sun visor. See picture 3.
Turning on and off
After you have paired HCB-108 with the phone, it
automatically connects to the phone when it is on and
within range (10 metres, 33 feet). The Bluetooth
indicator light shows a steady blue light when
HCB-108 is connected to the phone.
To turn on
•Press and hold down for two seconds.
A sound is heard and the status light shows a steady
green light.
To turn off
•Press and hold down for two seconds.
A sound is heard and HCB-108 turns off.
Calling
When you have paired HCB-108 with your phone, you
can make and receive calls as long as HCB-108 is
turned on and within range of the phone, with no solid
objects in between.
To make a call
•Dial the number in the same way as you normally
would with your phone. The call is automatically
activated in HCB-108.
To end a call
•Press .
To answer a call
•Press .
To reject a call
•Press and hold down fortwo seconds.
To redial a number
•Press twice.
To turn off the microphone
•Press and simultaneously. The status
light flashes when the microphone is off. Repeat the
procedure to turn on the microphone again.
