These ratings mean that your device is dust resistantand is protected against low pressure water stream as wellas against the effects of submersion for 30 minutes in fresh(non-saline) water up to 1.5 metres deep.Always firmly attach all covers to ensure the water and dustresistance of the device. NFC™ detection areaAssemblyDon’t confuse the micro SIM card slot with the memorycard slot.To insert the micro SIM cardIf you insert the micro SIM card while the device ispowered on, the device restarts automatically.1Detach the cover for the micro SIM card slot.2Insert the micro SIM card into the micro SIM card slot.3Re-attach the cover.To insert the memory card1Remove the memory card slot cover.2With the gold coloured contacts facing down, insert thememory card into the memory card slot, then re-attach thememory card slot cover.BasicsTurning on the deviceMake sure that the battery is charged for at least 30 minutesbefore you turn on the device for the first time.To turn on the device1Press and hold down the power key until the devicevibrates.2Wait a while for the device to start.Waking up the screenTo activate the screen•Briefly press the power key .Setting up your deviceSetup guideThe first time you start your device, a setup guide opens tohelp you configure basic settings, sign in to some accounts(for example, your Google™ account), and personalise yourdevice.
