Summer Infant, Inc. Monitor Warranty Policy
Summer lnlont, Inc will repair or replace (at our option) your unit free of charge for
12 months from the date of purchase it the unit is defective in workmanship or
materials. To claim your repair/replacement, the product must be returned to
Summer Infant along with a copy of the original purchase receipt. In the absence of
the purchase receipt, the warranty will be 12 months from the date of manufacture.
This warranty does not apply to normal wear or damage from misuse, abuse,
improper storage and handling, installation, accident, unauthorized repair
or alteration.
For sale and use in the USA, Canada and Mexico. The warranty is null and void if
used outside its intended territory

0 Prevent cord entanglement — do not place Camera in crib or within
arm’s reach of the baby. Use enclosed Security Clips to help secure
cords away from baby‘s reach. Never use extension cords with AC
adapters. Only use the Ac Adapters provided.
0 When an AC Adapter is plugged into an electrical outlet, do not touch
the exposed end.
0 Test monitor before first use, periodically, and when changing location
of the Camera.
0 Do not use monitor near water (such as bathtub, sink, etc.).
0 Keep monitor away from heat sources (such as stoves, radiators, etc.).
0 Make sure there is proper ventilation around all monitor components.
Do not place on sofas, cushions, beds, etc. which may block ventilation.

may pick up signals from other monitors or similar devices and signals

Table Top: Tilt Camera/Microphone up (Figure A). Place Camera in nursery

Wall Mounting: Be sure not to place Camera in crib or within arm's reach ol

a) Pre—drill a hole in the wall using a 3/16” (4.5mm) drill bit (Figure B).
b) insert wall anchor (included) into hole and gentlytap with a hammer until

d) Insert Smaller AC Adapter into Camera's AC Adapter Jack

Step 4: To turn the Video Unit all completely, press and hold (Power Onion) button
Testing trour in at Setup:
Be sure to test your monitor's reception belore initial use We also recommend testing your monitor's
reception periodically Please keep in Mind that the Complete Coverage video Monitoring System
will not provide the same level or picture quality as your television with cable, satellite dish, or
digital service.
To test reception you will need two adults. One adult should view the picture on the video Unit while
the other is in the nursery to adjust the Camera. otten the auality or the reception can be improved by
slightly repositioning the Camera, Video Unit, or both Adjust the picture quality on the Video Unit as
needed by using the Brightness Control
To test sound quality, have one adult speak in both a normal tone and a whisper near the crib Ad)ust
volume on the Video Unit's Volume Control as needed.
To Mount Parent's Video Unit (TV)
Under Cabinet:
Step 1: Swing out Video Unit Base (Figure E)
Step 2: Slide dial on Video Unit Base lrom “lock
icon" to ”unlock icon" (Figure F)

Step 5: Turn the Monitor on using the Power On/Oh/Voiume Dial The Power On LED will illuminate
green Set the Channel Selectorto channel A Turn the video on using the Quick view/Video On/Oit
button tor a view ol the nursery When video mode is on, the Video On Light wrii illuminate green.
Step A: Ad)ust the volume as needed using the Volume Dlal Adjust picture using the Brightness Dial on
the back oithe Monitor.
Step 5: For audio and no Video, press the Quick View/Video On/Otl button again to shut olt the
video mode.
Step i: To tUrn the Monitor olt completely, use the Power On/Otl/Volume Dial
To Use the Video Monitor in Portable Mode:
For use in portable mode, the Monitor reauires one 4 by rechargeable battery (included)
Tips:
~ Betore using monitor in ponable mode (battery), be sure to charge battery 12—i6 hours.
~ To charge battery, plug the larger AC Adapter into the Monitor's
AC Adapter Jack Plug the other end into a Standard electrical outlet
- Alter initial tZ—ié hour charge, to achieve optimal battery lile, charge
battery overnight and unplug all day during use
~ Note: Only charge batterywhen low indicator light comes on Constant
recharging ol your battery belore low battery indicator light comes on wrll ~
decrease the lite ol your battery
' When battery is low, the Power On LED will illuminate amber, indicating
that the battery needs to be recharged
- To conserve battery power, use AC Adapter whenever possible Unplug
battery during long periods or noncuse
' lt a battery is exhausted, remove it immediately from the Monitor.
~ Properly dispose ol exhausted batteries
Butlery installation:
Note: This step is only needed it replacing battery.

2 Loosen screw, open battery compartment door and connect battery
as shown (Figure H) Replace door and tighten screw

Footrest:
The Monitor has a built—in lootrest lor tabletop convenience. simply llip out
lootrest and place the Monitor on a stable, level surtace (Figure J)
