- Nursery monitors use public airwaves to transmit signals.
This monitor may pick up signals from other monitors or
similar devices and signals broadcast by this monitor may
be picked up by other receivers.

16) Damage Requiring Service - Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to
qualified service personnel under the following conditions:
a) When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged,
b) If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the product,
c) If the product has been exposed to rain or water,
d) If the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Adiusting
only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as an improper adiustment
of other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified
technician to restore the product to its normal operation,
e) If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way, and
f) When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance - this indicated a need for
service.
17) Replacement Parts - When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has
used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the
original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock, or other hazards.
18) Safety Check - Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product. ask the service
technician to perform safety checks to determine that the product is in proper operating condition.
19) Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The product should be mounted to a wall or ceiling only as
recommended by the manufacturer.

Summer lnlant, Inc. WlII repair or replace (at our option) your unit free of charge for
12 months from the date of purchase if the unit is defective in workmanship or
materials. To claim your repair/replacement, the product must be returned to
Summer infant along with a copy of the original purchase receipt. in the absence of
the purchase receipt, the warranty will be 12 months from the date of manufacture.
This warranty does not apply to normal wear or damage from misuse, abuse,
improper storage and handling, installation, accident, unauthorized repair or
alteration.

1) Read Instructions - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the product

4) Follow Instructions - All operating and use instructions should be followed.
5) Cleaning - Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners
or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
6) Attachments - Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they
may cause hazards.
7) Water and Moisture - Do not use this product near water - for example, near a bath tub. wash
bowl. kitchen sink. or laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near a swimming pool; and the like.
8) Accessories - Do not place this product on an unstable cart. stand. tripod. bracket. or table. The

9) Ventilation - Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to ensure
reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating. and these openings must not
be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed.
sofa. rug, or other similar surfaces. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such
as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer's instructions
have been adhered to.
10) Power Sources - This product should be operated only from the type of power source
indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home.
consult your product dealer or local power company. For products intended to operate from
battery power. or other sources. refer to the operating instructions.
11) Power-Cord Protection - Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be
walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them. paying particular attention to cords at
plugs. convenience receptacles. and the point where they exit from the product.
12) Power Lines - An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead
power lines or other electric light or power circuits. or where it can fall into such power lines or

PROBLEM SOLVING:
No picture or sound on Monitor
- Make sure the Monitor is turned on
- Make sure the AC Adapters are plugged in
- Make sure the outlets are working
- Make sure Monitor and Camera are SYNCHED up. (refer to "Synching
MONITOR and CAMERA" section on page 7)
Sound but no picture on Monitor
- Press the Quick ViewNideo On/Oll Button once to turn on video mode
- Try adjusting the Brightness Control on the Monitor
- Test reception by moving the Monitor arid/or CAMERA to dilferent
locations
Picture but no sound
- Turn up the volume on the Monitor using the Volume Control
Picture not clear
- Position the Monitor closer to the CAMERA it necessary
- Move Monitor away tram other monitors, cordless phones, walkie-talkies,
etc.
- Try adjusting the Brightness Control on the Monitor
- Test reception by moving the Monitor and/or CAMERA to dilferent
locations
Sauealing sound
- Move the CAMERA and the Monitor further away from each other
TIPS FOR IMPROVING RECEPTION:
- Position the Monitor closer to the CAMERA if necessary.
' Move Monitor away from other monitors, cordless phones, walkie—talkies,
etc.; moving even slightly could greatly improve reception.
- It you hear a feedback or squealing noise, move the CAMERA and the
Monitor further away from each other.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Sound Lights: The 5 Sound Lights will illuminate on the Monitor depending
on the level of your baby's sounds. For example, if your child is just cooing,
only one or two lights will illuminate. If your baby is crying, several will
illuminate, depending on how loud she is crying. This leature is particularly
helpful if you are in a noisy room,
' Quick View/Video OHIO“ Button: This button turns the video mode on. If
you only want to hear your baby, press the Quick ViewNideo On/OII Button
again to shut off the video. The Quick ViewNideo On/Olf Button is ideal for
easily turning on the video option in the middle of the night.
- Night Vision: In a darkened room, the Monitor will automatically use its
inirared LED’s to transmit a clear image of baby, so you can see your child at
night!
- Multi-Position Camera/Microphone: The Camera/Microphone should be
positioned so it is facing baby as much as possible. This multi-position
feature is unique to Summer Infant nursery monitors, it allows the
microphone to focus on baby’s voice while filtering out other household
noises.
SET UP 8: USE (continued):
Table Top or Wall Mounting:
Determine a location for the Camera that will provide the best View of your
baby in his crib. Place the Camera on a flat surface, such as o dresser, bureau,
or shell. Or mount the Camera on a wall. CAUTION: BE SURE NOT TO PLACE
CAMERA IN CRIB OR WITHIN ARM'S REACH OF BABY. Do not place the
Camera near open windows, direct sunlight or heat sources.
Be sure to test reception and Camera positio ng
belore mounting to a wall (see "Testing Your Initial
Set Up" section).
To Wall Mount:
1) Pre-drill a hole in the wall (3/16", 4.8mm, drill bit)
(Figure A).
2) Insert the wall anchor (included) into the hole and with
a hammer, tap gently on the end until the wall anchor
is tlush with the wall.
5) Insert the screw (included) into the wall anchor and
tighten screw until only 1/4" (62mm) of the screw is
exposed.
4) Insert AC Adapter into the Comera’s AC Adapter Jack.
5) Slide the back of the Camera down onto the screw until
the Camera is secure to the wall,
6) Plug the AC Adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
7) Secure the cord to the wall using the 6 Security Clips included to keep cord
away from baby‘s reach (Figure B).
8) Slide switch on side of Camera to ON and the POWER ON LED will
illuminate solid green.
MONITOR
To Use in Video and Audio Mode:
Step 1: Place the Monitor in the room from which you want to monitor your
baby (ie. bedroom or living room). Plug an AC Adapter into the AC Adapter
Jack and the other end into a standard electrical outlet.
Step 2: Press down "POWERO " button to turn on until video or Summer logo
appears on screen.
Step 3: For audio and no video, press the VIDEO ON/OFF button on top of the
unit.
Step 4: To turn the monitor all completely, press and hold the "POWERG ”
button for
3 seconds.

Please Note: The SCAN, DEL CAM, ADD CAM and VIEW CAM menu options
are only used with additional cameras.
Testing Your Initial Setup:
Please be sure Mode Switch on side of Monitor is switched up to monitor
mode and test reception before initial use, We also recommend testing your
Monitor's reception periodically Please keep in mind that the Baby
MomentsVM Flat Screen Digital Video Monitor will not provide the same level
of picture quality as your television with cable, satellite dish, or digital service.
To test reception you will need two adults. One adult should view the picture
on the Monitor while the other is in the nursery to adjust the Camera. Otten
the quality of the reception can be improved by slightly repositioning the
Camera, Monitor, or both. It may help to place a stuffed animal or doll in the
crib to simulate the position and size 01 your baby. Adjust the picture quality on
the Monitor as needed by using the Brightness Adjustment on the side of the
Monitor.
To test sound quality, have one adult speak in both a normal tone and a
whisper near the crib. Adjust volume on the Monitor’s Volume Adjustment as
needed.
To Mount Parents Video Unit (TV) Under Cabinet:
Step 1: Swing out Wdeo Unit Base (Figure D).
Step 2: Slide dial on Wdeo Unit Base from ”lock Icon" to
"unlock Icon”(Figure E).
Step 3: Mount Video Unit Base to underneath cabinet using
included screws (Figure F).
Step 4: Slide Video Unit back into \fideo Unit base and move
dial on Wdeo Unit base back to lock. To use Wdeo Unit in
areas around the house, simply move dial on \fideo Unit base
to unlock, remove unit, and swing Video Unit base back to
standard position.
Synchlng Monitor and CAMERA:
The Monitor and Camera are synched at the factory for privacy
reasons. If the Monitor and Camera are not synching with each
other for any reason, please sync them as described below.
Step 1: Move the Monitor to the same area as the Camera. With
both the Camera and Monitor on, press the MENU button once to
call up the OPTION menu. Using up and down arrows on front of
monitor, scroll to ADD CAM and press SELECT button.
Step 2: The next available camera will be highlighted green on the
screen. Press SELECT button,
Step 3‘ The selected camera will blink on screen.
Step 4‘ Press the pair button on bottom of camera and you should
then see a picture lrorn the camera on the monitor.
Step 5: if this is unsuccessful, you should repeat steps above making sure the
Camera and Monitor are close enough to each other (or synching.
Picture Capture Feature:
1: This unit can take and store up to 50 images.
. 0 take a snapshot, quickly press the CAMERA button on top of the monitor.
3: You will see a save or erase menu.
4: Hit the select button to save. Scroll down to erase option and hit selecr
button to erase.
To Review Pictures:
1: Slide Mode Button on side 01 monitor down to photo mode,
ress select to View an image.
ress right or left scroll buttons to move through images.
ress scroll button and select button to delete photo.
5: Use scroll and select buttons to choose to delete, not delete or erase all.
To Enter Into Slide Show Mode:
1: Make sure mode button on side of monitor is in photo mode.
2: Use lelt scroll button to choose SLIDESHOW and press select button.
3: There are 3 options to choose from:
a. Most Recent - choose to scroll through ‘lU latest snapshots
b. All Photos - choose to see all snapshots
c. Timing - select this option to choose a 3, 5 or 8 second delay between
images.
