A. CAUTION:
KEEP SMALL PARTS OUT OF CHILD’S REACH.
AWARNING:
THIS PRODUCT CANNOT REPLACE RESPONSIBLE
ADULT SUPERVISION.
- Prevent cord entanglement - do not place Camera in crib
or within arm‘s reach of the baby. Use enclosed Security
Clips to help secure cords away from baby's reach.
Never use extension cords with AC adapters. Only use
the AC Adapters provided.
- When an AC Adapter is plugged into an electrical outlet,
do not touch the exposed end.
- Test monitor before first use, periodically. and when
changing location of the Camera
- Do not use monitor near water (such as bathtub, sink, etc).
0 Keep monitor away from heat sources (such as stoves,
radiators, etc).
0 Make sure there is proper ventilation around all monitor
components. Do not place on sofas, cushions, beds, etc.
which may block ventilation.
- Nursery monitors use public airwaves to transmit signals.
This monitor may pick up signals from other monitors or
similar devices and signals broadcast by this monitor may
be picked up by other receivers.
- This product is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with it.

SET UP 8: USE:
CAM E RA
Table Tim at Wall Mountlngz
Determine a location for the Cameras that will provide
the best view at your baby or child Place the Camera on
a flat surface, such as a dresser, bureau, or shell. Or mount
the Camera on a wall. Be sure not to place camera in crib or
within arm's reach ol baby Do not place the Camera near
open windows, direct sunlight or heat sources. 8. lure to test

wall (so. Wasting Your lnltlal Set Up' sectlon).
To Wall Mount:
1) Pre-drill a hole in the wall
(3/16', 4t8mm, drill bit) (Figure A)
2) Insert the wall anchor (included)
into the hole and with a hammer,
tap gently on the end until the wall
anchor is flush with the wall.
3) Insert the screw (included) into the
wall anchor and tighten screw until
only 1/4' (6.2mm) al the screw
is exposed.
4) Insert AC Adapter into the Camero's
AC Adapter Jack.
5) Slide the bottom ol the Camera down onto the screw until
the Camera is secure to the wall.
6) Plug the AC Adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
7) Secure the cord to the wall using the 6 Security Clips
included to keep cord away lrorn baby's reach (Figure B).
8) Slide switch on side of Camera to ON and the
POWER ON LED will illuminate solid green,

To Us. In Video and Audlo Mode:
Stop 1: Place the Monitor in the room from which you want to
monitor your baby (ie. bedroom or living room). Plug an AC Adapter
into the AC Adapter Port and the other end into a standard
electrical outlet.
Step 2: Press and hold ”POWERO” button lor approximately 4
seconds to turn on until video or Summer logo appears on screen.
stop 8: For audio and no video, press the VIDEO ONIOFF button on
top ol the unit
Step I: To turn the monitor all completely, press and hold the
“POWERO” button lot 4 seconds.
Step 5: To adjust volume press center button up or down.
Step 6: To adjust brightness, press center button left or right.
Stop : Press and hold talk button on side at monitor and speak into
monitor. Baby will hear your voice through speaker on camera.
VIEW MODEEBUTTON ON MONlTOR:
1. Press the "View ModeE" Button once to change to Split Screen
Mode. You should see on image lor each camera active.
2. Press the ”View Modem" Button again to switch to Scan Mode
A lull screen image ol each camera image will appear lor 3
seconds belore switching to next camera image.
3. Press the “View Modefi“ Button again to stop scanning.
SCROLL MODE l> BUTTON ON MONITOR:
- Press the “Scroll [> " Button to scroll to the next camera
image.
Testing Your Inltlol Setup:
Be sure to test your Monitor’s reception belore initial use.
We also recommend testing your Monitor’s reception periodicall .
Please keep in mind that the Sleek a: Secure“ Handheld Color rdeo
Monitor will not provide the same level at picture quality as your
television with cable, satellite dish, or digital service.
To test reception you will need two adults. One adult should view the
picture ont e Monitor while the other is in the nursery to adjust the
Camera. Olten the quoli ol the reception can be improved by
slightly repositioning the amero, Monitor, or both. it may help to
place a stulled animal or doll in the crib to simulate the position and
size at your baby. Adjust the picture quality on the Monitor as
needed by using the Brightness Adjustment on the lront oi the
onrtor.
To test sound quality, have one adult speak in both a normal tone
and a whisper near the crib. Adjust volume on the Monitor’s
Volume Adjustment as needed.

To Use the Video Monltor In Portable Mode:
For use in panable mode, the Monitor requires 1 3,7V LITHIUM-ION
rechargeable battery (includedlt
Tlps:
- Belore using Monitor in portable mode (battery), be sure to
charge battery 12-16 hours.
- To charge battery, plug the larger AC Adapter into the
Monitor's AC Adapter Port. Plug the other end into a standard
electrical outlet.
- Alter initial 12-16 hour charge, to achieve optimal battery life,
charge battery overnight and unplug all day during use until low
battery indicator light comes on.
- When battery is low, the Power On LED will illuminate amber,
indicating that the battery needs to be recharged.
' Note: Only charge battery when low indicator light comes on.
Constant recharging 01 your battery belore low battery indicator
light comes on will decrease the life at your batteries.
- Remove battery during long periods at non-use.
- ll battery is exhausted, remove immediately lrorn the Monitor.
- Properly dispose ol exhausted battery.
Battery Installatlon:
Note: Thls step I: only needed It roplaclng battery.
1. Remove belt clip by pulling clip out at the hole on one side at the
monitor and then on the other side (Figure C)
2. Locate the battery compartment door on back at monitor.
5. Slide open battery door and insert
battery. Ensure correct connection (Figure B)
Slide battery door back in place.
4. lnsen belt clip back into holes on each
side 01 monitor.
Belt Cllp:
For convenience and portability, you can
clip the Monitor to your belt or waistband
alter a battery has been installed.
Kloltstand:
The Monitor has a built-in lootrest lor tabletop
convenience. Simply tlip out lootrest and place
the Monitor on a stable, level surlace (Figure E).
SET UP & USE (continued):
Synchlng Monitor and CAMERAS:
The Monitor and Cameras are synched at the factory
for privacy reasons. Ii the Monitor and Cameros are
not synching with each other lor any reason, please
sync them as described below.
Stop 1: Move the Monitor to the same area as the
Camera. Making sun Camera in all and Monitor is on, press the
"SYNCEI" button once to call up the S‘rNC icon.
Stop 2: Press "POWERO" button once and ”CONFIRM" will appear.
Press "POWERO" button again to show syncing icon and then turn
Camera on.
Stop S: Van should then see a picture from the Camera on the
Monitor.
Stop l: If this is unsuccesslul, you should repeat steps above making
sure the Camera and Monitor are the enough to each other 50!

TIPS FOR IMPROVING RECEPTION:
- Position the Monitor closer to the CAMERA it necessary.
- Move Monitor away irom other monitors, cordless phones,
walkie—tolkies, etc.; moving even slightly could greatly
improve reception.
- it you hear a ieedback or squealing noise, move the
CAMERA and the Monitor further away from each other.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Vldoo Sloop Mode: While operating on battery power, the
video screen will go to sleep, to conserve battery power. Audio
and sound lights will lunction normally. Press the Video On/Oll
to resume viewing. This option is NOT available when using AC
adapter.
- Talk lack Button: Allows parent to talk into monitor and child
to hear voice through camera.
- Sound lights: The 4 Sound Lights will illuminate on the Monitor
depending on the level ol your baby's sounds. For example, it
your child is just cooing, only one or two lights will illuminate. Il
your baby is crying, several will illuminate, depending on how
loud she is crying. This lecture is particularly helplul il you are
in o noisy room.
- Oulclr View/Video Onion Button: This button turns the video
mode on. ll you only want to hear your baby, press the Quick
Viedeeo OnIOfl Button again to shut oil the video The
Quick Viedeeo OnIOfl Button is ideal lor easily turning on
the video option in the middle 01 the night.
- Night Vision: In a darkened room, the Monitor will
automatically use its inlrored LED’s to transmit a clear image of
baby, so you can see your child at night!
~ MuItI-l'osltlon ComorolMlcmphono: The
Camera/Microphone should be posit oned so it is lacing baby
as much as possible. This multi-position lecture is unique to
Summer Inlant nursery monitors. it allows the microphone to
locus on baby’s voice while liltering out other household
names
- Splmcraon and Scan Mode: The monitor is designed with a
scanning lecture that will allow parents to scan up to 4 cameras with “
each scan duration ol about 8 seconds»
PROBLEM SOLVING:
No picture or sound on Monitor
- Make sure the Monitor is turned on
- Make sure the AC Adapters are plugged in
- Make sure the outlets are working
- Make sure Monitor and Camera are SVNCHED up.

page 7)
Sound but no picture on Monitor
- Press the Quick Viedeeo Orr/Off Button once to turn on
video mode
- Try adjusting the Brightness Control on the Monitor
- Test reception by moving the Monitor and/or CAMERA to
different locations
Picture but no sound
° Turn up the volume on the Monitor using the Volume Control
Picture not clear
