Care & Use
•
•
•
•
•
•
• Do not play with your vehicle in the street.
• The racer reaches speeds (110m/360 ft. per
minute). Avoid high-impact collisions with
people and objects.
• If the racer gets stuck under an object, immediately release both controls on the transmitter. Then, retrieve the vehicle.
• Wipe the vehicle occasionally with a damp
cloth to keep it looking new.
• Tampering with your vehicle’s electronic parts
may cause damage to the vehicle. If your
vehicle does not operate properly, take it to
your local RadioShack store for assistance.
Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.
Use only the recommended battery pack and charger. You may purchase a charger at your local RadioShack store.
When the transmitter’s range decreases, replace its battery. Never leave dead or weak batteries in the vehicle or transmitter.
Do not charge the battery pack while it is in the vehicle or immediately after use. Allow it to cool first.
After you charge the battery pack (12 to 14 hours), disconnect it from the charger. Overcharging the battery pack might damage it.
Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (alkaline, standard, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of
different capacities.
• If you do not plan to use the vehicle for a week or more, remove the batteries from it and the transmitter. Batteries can leak
chemicals that may destroy electronic parts.
• Ensure the connectors and wires are positioned so they do not touch moving parts.
• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them.
Interference
Your racer or transmitter might cause TV or radio interference even
when it is operating properly. To determine whether your racer or
transmitter is causing the interference, turn off your racer and release
the control levers. If the interference goes away, your racer or
transmitter is causing it. Try to eliminate the interference by:
• Moving your racer and transmitter away from the TV or radio
• Contacting your local RadioShack store for help
If you cannot eliminate the interference, you maybe required to stop
using your racer.
This device complies with RSS-210 of Industry Canada. Operation is
subject to the following two conditions:
1) this device may not cause interference, and
2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that
may cause undesired operation of the device.
Note: This digital apparatus does not exceed the Class B limits for
Radio noise emissions from digital apparatus set out in the Radio
interference Regulations of Industry Canada.
Important: This car can use nickel-cadmium
rechargeable batteries. At the end of a nickelcadmium battery's useful life, it must be recycled or
disposed of properly. Contact your local hazardous
waste management authorities for information on
recycling or disposal programs in your area.
Important:
• Not suitable for children under 3 years of age as the toy is electrical and
mechanical in nature.
• Keep this owner's manual so that you can trace back to the importer
whenever necessary.
Hints & Tips
• Driving your racer for long periods of time can generate a high heat level,
which causes wear and tear on the motor. To help keep heat levels down,
when your vehicle’s battery power dies, let it cool for at least 10 minutes
before recharging the battery.
• Do not touch the motor immediately after using the racer, as it may become
hot during use.
• If your vehicle’s motor runs, but does not respond to the transmitter, move
closer to the vehicle and try again.
• If someone uses a CB nearby, it might interfere with the control of your
racer. If this happens, move the vehicle away from the CB.
• You cannot operate your vehicle near devices with transmitters that use the
same frequency as your vehicle (27MHz or 49MHz). Check the box to see
which frequency you have.
• If your vehicle moves slowly, or not at all, and
you have installed a fully charged battery
pack, check the wheel mechanism for lint,
dust, hair or thread.
• When the transmitter’s range decreases,
replace its battery.
• If your vehicle does not drive in a straight line,
adjust the wheel alignment control on the bottom of the vehicle. If the vehicle pulls to the
right, turn the control toward left, and if it pulls
to the left, turn the control toward right.
