To power your truck, you will need one 9V battery
for the transmitter and one 9.6V battery pack for
the truck. Neither of these batteries is included,
but both are available at your local RadioShack or
online at www.radioshack.com.

1. Remove the cover.
2. Put the 9 volt battery in the compartment as
indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -).

Scaled to 1:13 the size of a real Chevy Avalanche, it
can reach speeds of up to 600 feet per minute and
climb 40 degree inclines. This truck is perfect for
children ages 8 and up.

1. Extend the transmitter’s antenna to its full
length.
2. Turn the transmitter and the truck on. The
headlights should turn on.
3. Pull the speed control trigger toward the
handle to move forward. Pull all the way in for
turbo speed.
4. Push the trigger away from the handle to move
backward.
5. Release to stop.
6. Use the steering control wheel to turn left and
right.
7. Release the wheel to drive straight.
8. When you finish driving the vehicle, turn it off.
You can use the gear switch on the
transmitter to select high or low gear.
NOTE
Raise it up for high gear to drive on
rough surfaces, the indicator lights
red. Put it down for low gear to drive
on rough surfaces, the indicator light
green.

1. Remove the battery compartment cover.
Replace when finished.
2. Attach the battery pack’s connector to the
truck’s connector. It fits only one way.
3. Place the battery pack in its compartment.
Replace the cover and secure it.
When the truck’s operation becomes

If the car does not drive in a straight line when you
release the right control lever, adjust the wheel
alignment control on the bottom of the car. Turn
the control toward L if the car is pulling to the right
or toward R if the car is pulling to the left.

• Driving your truck for long periods of time can
generate a high heat level, which causes wear
and tear on the motor. To help keep heat levels
down, when your vehicle’s battery power dies,
let it cool for at least 10 minutes before installing
new batteries.
• Do not touch the motor immediately after using
the truck, as it may become hot during use.
• If your truck’s motor runs, but does not respond
to the transmitter, move closer to the vehicle
and try again.
• If someone uses a CB nearby, it might interfere
with the control of your truck. If this happens,
move the vehicle away from the CB.
• You cannot operate your truck near devices with
transmitters that use the same frequency as
your vehicle (27 MHz or 49 MHz). Check the box
to see which frequency you have.
• If the truck moves slowly, or not at all, and you
have installed new batteries, check the wheel
mechanism for lint, dust, hair or thread.
• When the transmitter’s range decreases, replace
its battery.
• The truck might make a popping or grinding
noise when you slide the gear control switch.
This is normal.
• This truck is recommended for children ages 8
and up.
• Do not play with your vehicle in the street.
• Avoid high-impact collisions with people and
objects. Do not drop it.
• If the truck gets stuck under an object,
immediately release both controls on the
transmitter. Then, retrieve the vehicle.

• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn
or bury batteries.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and
recommended type.
• Do not use batteries of different types capacities, or
chemistry.
• If you do not plan to use the toy for several days, remove
the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage
electronic parts.
• Batteries purchased for use in this toy may pose hazard
to children. Please check the safety notice supplied with
batteries before use.
• Do not recharge a battery pack immediately after use (while
it is still hot). Allow it to cool first.
• Do not overcharge the battery. Overcharging the battery
pack might damage it.
• Do not charge the battery pack while it is still in the truck.
• Make sure the battery compartment cover is secure before
driving the truck.
The EPA certified RBRC® Battery Recycling Seal
on the nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery indicates
RadioShack is voluntarily participating in an
industry program to collect and recycle these
batteries at the end of their useful life, when taken
out of service in the United States or Canada. The
RBRC program provides a convenient alternative to placing used
Ni-Cd batteries into the trash or the municipal waste stream,
which may be illegal in your area. Please call 1-800-THE-SHACK
(1-800-843-7422) for information on Ni-Cd battery recycling
and disposal bans/restrictions in your area. RadioShack’s
involvement in this program is part of the company’s
commitment to preserving our environment and conserving our
natural resources.
• Use and store your truck only in room
temperature environments.
• Keep the truck away from dust and dirt, and
wipe it with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it
looking new.
• If your truck is not performing as it should, take it
to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
