CRC#: 5279194 4. Charging Your Bluetooth Stereo Headset Make sure that your Stereo Headset is fully charged before using it. Use only the charger provided, do not use chargers from any other devices as it might damage the device. A full charge is approximately 3 hours. 5. To Charge Your Bluetooth Headset 1. Use the charger to charge from a charging outlet (or from your laptop/PC's USB port if the optional USB Charging Cable is provided). 2. When an LED light indication is red, the headset is charging. 3. The LED light indication goes off when the device is fully charged. 4. Low voltage testing of battery: When the voltage of the battery goes down to 3.3v, the red LED will flash instead of blue LED; when the voltage goes down to 3.0v, the headset will power off automatically. Instruction Manual 6. Powering Up To turn ON the Bluetooth Stereo Headset Press and hold the “MFB” button for 3 seconds and the flashing Blue LED light indicator comes on. Note: Do not hold the button down for more than 6 seconds when turning the headset on or else it may switch to pairing mode. If this happens, turn off the headset and repeat the process for turning the headset on. To turn OFF the Bluetooth Stereo Headset Press and hold the “MFB” button until the red LED light indication goes off. 7. Pairing Bluetooth Stereo Headset to Mobile Phone Pairing is the process of connecting your headset with your mobile phone. Before using the headset with your mobile phone, you must pair both devices. If you wish to use your headset with a different mobile phone, you must reinstate the pairing process with your intended Bluetooth mobile phone. 1. Switch to pairing mode by holding onto the “MFB” button (approximately 6 seconds) till both Blue/Red LED lights appear. 2. The LED lights will blink simultaneously in pairing mode. 3. Turn on the mobile phone and place it within 1 meter to the headset. 4. Activate the Bluetooth function on your mobile phone and search fro accessible Bluetooth device by referring to your mobile phone user guide for details. 5. Select “BT Headset” from the list. Before using this product, read this manual carefully and retain it for future reference. 1. Introduction The Bluetooth Stereo works with all Bluetooth enabled compatible phone or music device that supports Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP). Listening to music, answering calls, adjusting volume, and track controls are easily accessible on the buttons of the headset - the ideal solution for integrating wireless mobile music and calls. 2. Wearing Your Headset BS852 -02- 6. Enter the pre-programmed code “0000” and press “OK” to pair the headset and the phone. When pairing is completed, the blue and red LED stop flashing, the headset is under the standby mode with the blue LED flashes in every 4 seconds. 7. Press “Return” to go back to your mobile phone’s main menu. Please place the mobile phone and the headset within 10 meters sensing distance. You should now be able to make and receive calls using your headset. Note: If the pairing cannot be completed within 2 minutes after the pairing mode is activated, the headset will power off automatically. Please repeat steps above to pair the headset and mobile phone again. 8. Connection/Link between Headset and Mobile Phone After pairing is completed, headset is always under standby mode. Before you place or answer a call, if the headset icon is not shown on phone screen, please follow the steps below to activate the Bluetooth connection/link through your mobile phone or headset until the headset icon is on the screen. (1) On phone: Select the “BT Headset” from the paired list on your phone screen. (2) On headset: Short press “MFB” and select “Accept” on phone screen to accept connection. 9. Disconnection between Headset and Mobile Phone When you need to connect your headset with another Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone, please follow the steps below to disconnect the headset with the pre-paired mobile phone. (1) Power off the Headset. (2) Select “Disconnecting” on the Bluetooth device list of your mobile phone to remove the connection. Note: When losing the connection/link, the headset will be automatically power off in 10 minutes. 10. Using the Headset (1) Answering Call When receiving a phone call, press the “MFB” button to answer the call. (2) Ending Call Press the “MFB” button to end a call. (3) Reject Call When you hear the ringing tone, press and hold the “MFB” button for 3 seconds to reject the call. -01- -03- (4) Voice Dial If your mobile phone is voice dialing enabled, under standby mode, press and hold the “V+” or “V-” button for 3 seconds and say the voice tag after you hear a beep. Note: Please make sure to record voice tag into the mobile phone before using voice dial function. Functionality varies depending on the mobile phone models. Please refer to your mobile phone user guide for details. (5) Last Number Re-Dialing Under standby mode, short press the “MFB” button twice for last number redial. (6) Adjusting the Volume During a call, press the “V+” or “V-” buttons repeatedly until you reach the desired volume level. (7) Mute & Un-Mute Mute: During talking via the headset, press “V+” or “V-” for 6 seconds until the headset emit a short beep. Un-Mute: Press “V+” or “V-” for 6 seconds until the headset emits a short beep. (8) Transferring Calls a. Headset to Mobile Phone: During a call, press and hold the “MFB” button for 3 seconds, and the call is routed to your mobile phone. b. Mobile Phone to Headset: Press the “MFB” button f o r 3 s e c o n d s to route the call to headset. (9) Hold the Call During a call, press “V+” or “V-” for 3 seconds to hold the phone call. Press “V+” or “V-” for 3 seconds button again to resume conversation. (10) Answer the Second Call a. During conversation in progress, press “V+” or “V-” for 3 seconds to pick up the second call. b. When having 2 calls on the line, press “MFB” button once to end the first call and stay with the second call. (11) Switch between 2 Phone Calls During two calls in progress, press “V+” or “V-” for 3 seconds to swap calls. (12) Restore to Factory Default Setting To restore your headset to its factory default setting, press and hold “>>|” button for 8 seconds until both blue/red lights appear, then press the “MFB” for 3 seconds power off the headset to complete the setting. -04- 11. Listening to Stereo Audio from Bluetooth A2DP Enabled Mobile Phones/Audio Devices Your Bluetooth Stereo Headset is capable of high fidelity stereo playback on A2DP enabled Mobile Phones/Audio Devices. Please refer to your Mobile Phone/Audio Device User Guide for more information. Start Audio Playback Ensure that your headset is connected with Advanced Audio profile. Press “MFB” button once to play. To pause, simply press “MFB” button once. Forward/Backward Track Toggle between the “|<<” and “>>|” button - until you have reached the desired track. Answering a Call When Playing Music Press the “MFB” button and the call will be connected. Audio playback is put on mute when there are incoming calls from the active connection. The audio playback resumes as soon as the call is terminated. (Dependent on your device supporting this feature). 7. Do not attempt to disassemble the headset, as it does not contain serviceable components. 15. Safety Information 1. Check local laws regarding use of a mobile handset and headset while driving. If you use the headset while diving, ensure your attention and focus remains on your responsibility of driving safety. 2. Never allow children to play with the headset. Small parts may be a choking hazard. 3. Observe all signs that require an electrical device or RF radio product to be switched off in the designated areas. These could include hospitals, blasting areas, and potentially explosive atmospheres. 4. Turn off your headset prior to boarding an aircraft. Do not use your headset in an aircraft. 5. Never mount or store your headset over any air bag deployment area serious injury may result when an air bag deploys. 6. Do not open or mutilate the built-in battery. 16. Repeat this procedure until you have reached the desired level. 13. Connection Link/Between Bluetooth Stereo Headset and Mobile Phone Your mobile phone will always indicate a headset icon whenever your headset is paired. If the icon is not present, a reconnection can be established by manually selecting the headset from your mobile phone's Bluetooth menu. If your headset is set as an authorized Bluetooth device on your mobile phone, an automatic reconnection can be established by pressing the headset's “MFB” button once. 14. Care and Maintenance 1. Consider turning your headset off before placing it in your pocket or bag. If the “MFB” is accidentally depressed, your mobile handset may place an unintended call. 2. Do not expose the headset to liquid, moisture or humidity, as it is not waterproof. 3. Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the headset. 4. Do not place the headset in high temperature, as it will result in an explosion. 5. Do not expose the headset to contact with sharp objects as this will cause scratching and damage. 6.
