BeforeinstallingandoperatingtheCrossFire,readandcomplywiththefollowingsafetyinstructions:
1.Engineeringdesign:TheCrossFireachievessignalamplificationoftheuplinkanddownlinkthrough
directcouplingofthe2G,3Gand
LTE
signalsfromthebasestation.TheexpansionunitaccessesWLAN
signalsandcombinestheWLANsignalwiththecoupledsignalforindoorcoverage.Normaluseofthe
systemwillnotdamagethebasestation;however,withtheincreaseofRUduringnetworkcoveragefor
indoordistribution,theuplinkoutputnoiselevelmayaffectthesensitivityofthebasestation,whichshould
beconsideredduringengineeringdesign.
2.Grounding:theshellsoftheaccessandexpansionunitsofthedevicehaveprotectiveground
terminals.Duringinstallation,connectthegroundterminalssecurelytotheprotectivebuildinggroundwith
yellowandgreenconductorsorwithbraidedgroundwire.Theaerialandfeedermustbeadequately
grounded.
3.Powersupply:Thepowersourcemustbewithintherequiredrangeofthedevice.Theratedvoltage
rangefortheACpowersupplysystemisAC100V240Vandtheratedfrequencyrangeis50Hz/60Hz.The
ratedpoweroftheAU,EUandRUis100W,50Wand250W,respectively.Thegroundterminalofthe
three-corepowersocketusedatthedeviceinstallationsitemustbesecurelyconnectedtotheprotective
buildingground.
4.Electricshockprevention:touchingtheinternalpowersupplyunitsisdangerous.

5.Theopticalmodulecansupportahotplug,butdonotturntheopticalfiberheadtowardsany
humanbodypartwhenpluggingitin.

TheCrossFiresystemincludestheAccessUnit(AU),ExpansionUnit(EU)andRemoteUnit(RU).
Usingdigitalprocessinganddigitalopticaltransmissiontechnology,theAUframesradio-frequencysignalsfrombase

querytheDAStopology.ThedevicenameonthetopologydiagramisaURLlinktotheWebOMTontheselecteddevice.

1.Theslavedevicecannotsynchronizewiththemasterdevice:
a)QuerythesoftwareversionusingtheOMT.Makesurethatthedeviceisrunningthecorrect
software.
b)ChecktheSFPmoduletoconfirmwhethertheSFPmodulehasbeendamaged.
c)Restartthedevice.Iftheproblempersists,thedevicemayhavebeendamaged.Theequipment
needstobereplaced.
2.RUdownlinkshowsanoutput-poweralarm:
a)ThegainoftheRUdownlinkisequalto(37-DLattenuationdB).ChecktheRUdownlink
basebandpower,andthenaddthedownlinkbasebandpowertotheRUdownlinkgain.Theresultshould
beclosetotheoutputpower.Ifthedeviationismorethan5dB,the
PA
modulemaybedamaged.
3.Over-temperaturealarm:
a)Thedevicesneedspacetodissipateheat.Ensurethedeviceisnotcoveredbyanything.Ifthe
deviceiscovered,thetemperaturewillrise.
