ENFORCER 100LB/100CB Owner's Manual ENFORCER 100LB/100CB Owner's ManualSECO-LARM U.S.A., Inc.Page 4There are two different ways to arm your alarm.Tell your dealer which is best for you:Active ArmingTurn your ignition OFF. Close all the doors. Then press the I button. If the siren chirpsand parking lights flash once, the alarm isfully armed and the doors lock.If the siren chirps 3 times, the alarm is eitherwaiting for the vehicle's delayed domelightsto turn OFF (if your vehicle is so equipped),or it is telling you that one of the alarm'szones (a door, or the hood or trunk) is eitheropen or is not functioning properly. (SeeZONE BYPASS, page 5). Also, check tomake sure your car's domelight switch wasnot left in the ON position. These chirps canbe programmed off. See page 11.Passive armingTurn your ignition OFF, and open a door toexit the car. When the last door is closed(and the domelight turns OFF, if your carhas delayed domelights), the siren chirpsand parking lights flash once. The LEDflashes quickly during the 30-second armingcountdown, after which the siren chirps andparking lights flash once more to confirmthe alarm is completely armed. If you wish, you can open a door during thearming countdown, and keep it open for aslong as needed. The LED turns OFF whilethe door is opened. Close the last door, and the siren will chirp and parking lightsflash once to show the 30-second armingcountdown has started again. The LEDwill also begin to flash quickly. If you close the last open door, and thesiren does not chirp and parking lights donot flash, you know that one or moreopenings are not closed properly. This isSECO-LARM’s patented Quick and QuietTesting (Q.Q.T.™), and it prevents youfrom thinking your alarm is armed when itmay not be. In this case, double-checkthat all the doors, as well as the hood andtrunk, are closed properly, and that yourvehicle’s domelights are OFF. If youcannot locate the problem, but need toarm the alarm, then press the I button toimmediately arm the alarm and bypasswhatever zone is open (see ZONEBYPASS, page 5).NOTE — Under passive arming, you canforce your alarm to arm immediately any timeduring the 30-second arming countdown bypressing the I button.NOTE — Make sure your car’s domelightswitch is not in the ON position when youarm your alarm either actively or passively, otherwise the alarm may not arm properly ifthe domelight switch is left ON.NOTE — There are references to opening orclosing a door throughout this manual.“Door” also includes your hood and trunk, ifthey are protected. Consult your dealer.ARMINGARMEDWhen the 30-sec. arming countdown ends, orwhen the I button is pressed to arm the alarm, the siren chirps and parking lights flash once, and the LED starts flashing to showthe alarm is armed.Page 9ANTI-CARJACK PROTECTION (optional)A. Enabling the ANTI-CARJACK function:If the ANTI-CARJACK toggle switch is notinstalled, you cannot use the ANTI-CARJACKfunction (please ask your dealer). To enable the ANTI-CARJACKfunction, put the ANTI-CARJACK toggle switch to theON position. If the ANTI-CARJACKtoggle switch is OFF, the ANTI-CARJACKfunction cannot be entered.Once the ANTI-CARJACK function isenabled, you can disable it by turning theANTI-CARJACK toggle switch OFF. However, this must be done before you turn theignition ON.B. Stages of the ANTI-CARJACK mode:1. Stage 1a. ANTI-CARJACK is triggered ifsomeone opens and closes a doorwhile the ignition is ON. OnceANTI-CARJACK is triggered, turningOFF the ANTI-CARJACK toggle switchwill have no affect. At this point, Stage1 begins. Stage 1 lasts for up to 30seconds.b. During the 30 seconds, the LED flashesrapidly.c. Pressing the VEL switch onetime during the 30 secondsexits ANTI-CARJACK. OnceANTI-CARJACK is exited, theLED turns OFF.d. If the ignition is switchedOFF at any time during the30 seconds without firstpressing the VEL switch, Stage 1’s30-second countdown will pause, butANTI-CARJACK will not exit. The LED will turn OFF. The next timethe ignition is turned ON, Stage 1’s 30-second countdown will pick up where itleft off.2. Stage 2a. Once Stage 1 ends, Stage 2begins. Stage 2 also lasts forup to 30 seconds.b. While in Stage 2, theLED continues to flashrapidly, the parkinglights flash, and thesiren continuouslychirps.c. Pressing the VEL switch at anytime during this stage exits ANTI-CARJACK provided the ignition isstill ON. (If the ignition is turnedOFF before pressing the VEL switch, the alarm jumps to Stage 3, seebelow.) Once ANTI-CARJACKis exited, the lights stop flashing, the siren stops chirping, and theLED turns OFF. The alarm can nowbe used as normal.3. Stage 3a. Once Stage 2 ends,Stage 3 immediatelybegins.b. While in Stage 3, the LEDremains rapidly flashing, andthe parking lights continue toflash. However, the siren soundchanges from chirping to a fullblast (sound continuously). Thelights flash and the siren soundsuntil the emergency disarmprocedure is performed or until 30seconds after the ignition is turnedOFF.c. The starter disable output isengaged. This meansthat turning the ignitionOFF or pressing theVEL switch one time will have noeffect. The emergency disarmprocedure must be performed inorder to exit ANTI-CARJACK andstart the engine.

The siren chirps and the parkinglights flash once (three times if a zone isbypassed) to confirm armed. Within threeseconds, press the III button. The siren chirpsthree times and the parking lights flash threetimes to confirm sensors are bypassed. Thesensors are automatically restored the nexttime the II button is pressed.NOTE — The chirps to confirm sensor bypasswill not sound if chirp delete is engaged. However, the parking lights will still flash threetimes. See CHIRP DELETE, page 8.SENSOR BYPASSrestored. If your alarm indicates a bypassed zone, findthe cause as soon as possible to ensure yourvehicle is completely protected. For instance,if your driver’s door is not properly closedwhen you arm your alarm, a thief may beable to open any door without setting off thealarm.NOTE — The chirps to confirm zone bypasswill not sound if chirp delete is engaged. However, the parking lights will still flash threetimes. See CHIRP DELETE, page 8.When you press the I button to arm the alarm, and the alarm responds with three chirps andthree parking light flashes, there are twopossibilities:A. Delayed domelights — Delayed domelightsdo not immediately turn OFF when youclose your car door. This is normal. Thealarm should protect all doors once thedomelights turn OFF.B. A zone was bypassed — In other words, thealarm has armed, but a door may not beprotected (either because it is open, orbecause its pin switch is broken). If thebypassed door is later closed, it will beZONE BYPASS2nd CHANNEL OUTPUTYour transmitter has an extra channel tocontrol optional accessories.2nd channel is commonly used to "pop" thetrunk. To use, press the III button for twoseconds, either while the ignition is ON andany door is opened, or while the ignition isOFF. The alarm will disarm first toprevent the siren from sounding.(NOTE — If no doorsare connected directlyto your alarm, the 2ndchannel will not operatewith the ignition ON. Ask yourdealer for details.) → →Page 8To trigger the alarm in an emergency, pressthe IV button for 2 seconds. The siren soundsand the parking lights flash for about 30seconds. The alarm and door lock/unlockstatus do not change.Stop the siren and the parking lights any timeby pressing any of the four buttons.Note:1. The alarm will be in the armed mode andthe doors will lock if the I button is used toexit the panic mode.EMERGENCY CALL FOR HELP (Panic)2. The alarm will be in the disarmed modeand the doors will unlock if the II button isused to exit panic mode.3. The alarm will be in the disarmed mode, the doors will lock, and channel 2 outputwill be activated if the III button is used toexit panic mode4. The alarm and the door locks will returnto their original mode if the IV button isused to exit panic mode. There are times, especially at night, when you maynot want to hear the siren chirps. There are 2 waysto delete chirps:A. One-time delete — Just press the III button anytime before you need the chirps deleted. Forinstance, press the III button before you press theI button to arm the alarm, and the chirps will notsound, but the parking lights will still flash. Thechirps are restored the next time you press anytransmitter button.B. Permanent delete — Your dealer can programyour alarm to delete the chirps on a permanentbasis.NOTE — Either method deletes the arm, disarm, pre-intrusion, zone bypass, sensor bypass, emergencydisarm, valet, and tamper chirps. However, they donot affect the flashing parking lights.CHIRP DELETE (silent arm/disarm)With this optional feature, your alarm canautomatically lock the doors when the I buttonis pressed to arm the alarm and unlock thedoors when the II button is pressed to disarmthe alarm. For extra security, they lockautomatically if the alarm is triggered.(Exception — See EMERGENCY CALL FORHELP above)Your alarm can also be programmed forignition-controlled operation. The doors canbe set to automatically lock when you turn theignition ON, and unlock when you turn theignition OFF.NOTE — Under passive arming, and whenthe SecureLockTM function is enabled, thedoors automatically lock after the 30-secondexit delay is over and the alarm arms.POWER DOOR LOCKS → → → →Silent ArmSilent Disarm
