INSTALLING BATTERIES
Note: Any batteries purchased for use in this toy may pose a
hazard to children, please check safety notice supplied with
batteries before use.
Warning: Dispose of batteries promptly and properly; do not
bury or burn them.
CAUTIONS:
Batteries to be installed by adults only.
Use only fresh batteries of the required size and
recommended type.
Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries
(standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries
of different capacities.
IN THE CONTROLLER
Use a Phillips head screw driver to remove the battery
compartment cover located on the back of the controller.
Insert one "9V" alkaline battery in the correct position as marked
in compartment. Replace cover and screw.
IN THE SPIDER
You need four AA batteries to power your Spider.
1. Slide OFF/ON on the bottom of the Spider to OFF.
2. Remove screw on battery case door with Phillips screw driver
and insert 4 AA batteries as shown (follow +/- inside case and
insert).
3. Retighten battery door.
RADIO CONTROL DRIVING
1. Slide ON/OFF to ON. The top button on the driver's suit lights.
2. Fully extend the antenna on the transmitter and slide OFF/ON
on the transmitter to ON. The indicator on the transmitter
lights.
3. Use the transmitter's control levers to move and steer the
Spider.
4. When you finish driving the Spider, slide OFF/ON on the
Spider and the transmitter to OFF.
SPIDER FUNCTION CONTROLS
1. Turn on the spider and transmitter.
2. Use the transmitter’s control levers to steer your spider.
• To go forward, push both levers forward.
• To reverse, pull both levers back.
• To turn left or right, push the opposite lever forward. For
example, to turn left, push the right lever forward.
• To spin left or right, push the opposite lever forward and pull
the other lever back.
3. Turn off the spider and transmitter when you finish playing.

Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different
from that to which the receiver is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician
for help.
