SystemDescription
The SwipeSense System combines point‐of‐care hand hygiene with real‐time usage data to eliminate
dependencyonmanualobservationsandincreasecompliancewithinfectioncontrolprocedures.
Ourfullyintegratedsystemseamlesslyprovidesreal‐timehandhygienedatafromacrosstheenterprise
withexceptionalclarity.TheSwipeSenseSystemcreatesa“meshnetwork”thatprovidesflexibilityfor
compilingandcommunicatinghygienepracticesofemployeeswithinyourfacility.Themeshnetworkis
composed of badges worn on individual employees, hygiene sensors mounted to hygiene dispensers’
tracks employee hand sanitation frequency, location hubs monitoran employee’spresence in patient
roomsandacommunicationhublocatedineachnursescollectsthedatageneratedwithinthenetwork
andtransmitstothecloud.Oncethedataisuploadedtothecloud,itisaccessibletoalladministrators.

Thisisa wall‐mounted devicethatis placed underexistinghygienedispensersthroughoutthefacility.
When activated this device measures signal strength of badges locatednearitandtransmitsthe
information to the nearest Location Hub for processing. A pictureofaninstalledHygieneSensoris
providedinFigure1.

InstallationProcedures
TheHygieneSensorrequiresaminimumclearanceof8.5inchesbelowthehygienedispenserforproper
installation.Ifthisisnotavailable,theexistingdispenserwillneedtoberemovedandre‐installedtoallow
fortheHygieneSensor.
1. InstalltheHygieneSensorMountingBrackettothewall.
a. UsetheSwipeSenseInstallationTemplatetomarkthespaceunderthehygienedispenser
forthewallanchorsusedtomounttheHygieneSensortothewall.
NOTE:Centerthetemplatehorizontallysoitiscenteredunderthehygienedispenser.
b. RemovetheSwipeSenseInstallationTemplate.
c. Drilla3/16”pilotholeintothewallsurfaceforeachdesignatedhole.
d. Installwallanchors.
e. Wipedownthewallandletdrytoremovedebris.
f. ApplymountingadhesivetothebackoftheMountingBracket.
g. PositionMountingBracketontowallusingmountingadhesiveandscrews.
NOTE:Thereleaseclipshouldbepointingtowardsthefloor.
h. AttachtheSwipeSenseInstallationTemplatetotheMountingBracket.

5. SnaptheHygieneSensorontotheMountingBracketandconfirmthelightsareon,indicatingthe
deviceisfullyoperational.
