162.2 Switching on your telephoneHold down the key until the telephone comes on, type in your PIN code if necessary and then confirmwith the key.The main screen is displayed.If you don’t know your PIN code or if you have forgotten it, contact your network operator. Donot leave your PIN code near your telephone and store your card in a safe place when not in use.If cell broadcast messages are displayed, use the key to browse through them in full or press the keyto return to the main screen.While the phone is searching for a network, the <<<->>> symbol is displayed (???-??? is displayed if your SIMcard is rejected by the network. Sending your directory file via InfraredSelect the file you wish to transfer and place your phone or PDA opposite the other phone’s InfraRed port.Select “Options/Send/Infrared” and the transfer will take place.Receiving the file You must activate the infrared via “Menu/Extras/Infrared” to retrieve files. Once you have selected theoption, the icon will appear on the screen. A message will inform you of the data’s reception.
