Chapter1 Overview
1.1 Product Description
PoE15008 PoE Adapter is fully compliant with |EEE802.3af standard.
It delivers up to 15.4W output power per port. By using this device, both
data and electrical power can be simultaneously delivered through a
single CAT5 (or better) Ethernet cable to a non—PoE Ethernet-enabled
device, eliminating the trouble to connect it to an outlet nearby with an
external power cord. You can connect it to a wireless AP, Web cam (IP
Camera), IP telephone, or other |EEE802.3af-compliant devices
(required by PoE15008 only) for the purpose of reducing installation
cost and improving your network performance.

FCC Statement
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for
a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 ofthe FCC Rules. These
limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful in
terference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses
and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to
radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference
will not occur in a particular installation. lfthis equipment does cause

determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged

1.4 Hardware Overview
PSE LED: Power delivery indicator.
A solid green light indicates that the
PoE 15008 is delivering powerto the
connected PD.
DATA &PWR OUT :Connect this port
to a PD (Powered Device) with a
Cat.5 cable.
3 DATAIN Connect this port to an
Ethernet device with a Cat.5 cable.
POWER LED: Asolid green light
4 indicates that the PoE15008/
PoE13008 is working normally.

ANote:
1. lfthe power LED does not light up, it indicates that the power cord
may not be correctly connected or a power malfunction occurs. Verify
the power connection and the device.
2. lfthe PSE LED does not light up, go to check whether the connected
PD is |EEE802.3af-compliant; Note that only an |EEE802.af-compliant
device can be powered by the PoE 15008 adapter.
3. PoE13008 has no PSE LED.
1.5 Environmental Requirement
(1 )To avoid potential short circuit or malfunction, DO NOT expose the
adapter to heat, humidity, heat, vibration or dust.
(2) Keep the device, at least 30cm, away from heat source.
(3) Make sure the cable connected to a PD does not exceed 100 meters
in length for better performance.
FCC Caution: Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the
party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate
this equipment.
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference. and(2) this device must
accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation. The manufacturer is not responsible for any radio or
TV interference caused by unauthorized modifications to this equipment.
Chapter2 Installation
The following illustrates installation process by connecting the
adapter to an AP.
1. Power up the PoE15008 plugging the included power cord into
an outlet nearby.
1.1 Plug the device to an outlet using the included power cord.

1.2 Connect one ofthe switch's RJ45 port to the PoE15008' “data in”
port using a Cat.5 cable.

out” port using a Cat.5 cable.

Ethernet-enabled devices.
2. Powered device that connects to the PoE15008 adapter MUST be
|EEE 802.3af compliant.
3. To avoid potential damage, powered device that connects to the
PoE13008 adapter MUST operate with 48V input voltage.
