    FOREWORD  This Operation Manual is for the DIGI DPS-5600M manufactured by TERAOKA SEIKO CO., LTD. in Japan.     Please keep this Operation Manual always beside the machine.    If any parts are missing or become difficult to   read by stains or tearing, please contact your DIGI dealer/distributor to obtain a new one.  Most accidents involving machine operation and maintenance are caused by failure to observe basic safety rules or precautions.    An accident can often be prevented by recognizing potential hazards.    Do NOT operate this machine until you have completely read and understood the precautions in this manual.   Follow all the safety precautions when checking, starting, operating, stopping or performing any maintenance on this machine.  The basic safety precautions given in this manual and the warning labels placed on the machine are:     The machine is designed to be operated by one person.  However, feeding package and/or carrying processed package out from the machine can be done by other persons as assistance to the operator.    Even in these cases, machine should only be operated by a person who is instructed to operate the machine from DIGI dealer directly or indirectly.  The operator should fully understand the basic safety rules, indicated in the next page, and the operation procedures mentioned in this manual and follow them.  If a procedure or working method not specifically recommended by TERAOKA is used, the operator must be positive that it is safe for him/her and others.    The operator should also ensure that the machine would not be damaged by the method of operation chosen. The operator must NOT operate the machine when he/she is not good health to pay attention to the machine.  Should an accident occur, it is advisable to follow these steps:  (1) Obtain first aid or medical attention immediately after an injury.    Do NOT neglect an injury, no matter     how slight it seems.     (2) Report it to your manager and DIGI dealer to make an investigation.     (3) Enforce precautionary measures to prevent recurrence of the accident.  There may be some changes to the machine not included in this publication because of further improvements and advancements in product design.    If there are any questions about the machine or this publication, please consult your DIGI dealer before operating the machine.  The appliance is not to be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.  The machine is CE marked in accordance with the following Directives. ・NAWI Directive ・EMC Directive ・Machinery Directive  IMPORTANT - FOR SAFETY OPERATION Hazardous situation or unsafe practices which COULD result in severe personalinjury.      1. Do not plug in and out with your hands wet. Grab a plug without pulling out power cord.   Failure to do so, it might result in an electric shock.  2. Handle power cord carefully. Do not put heavy object on power cord.   Do not place power cord near heated object. Do not modify, bend and pull out power cord. In case of damaged, turn off the power switch and plug out immediately,   and contact our sales representatives. Failure to do so, it might result in an electric shock.  3. Set up ground wire to earth properly. Failure to do so, it might result in fire, electric shock and machine defect. If ground wire can not be set up, contact our sales representatives.  4. Do not repair, conversion and dismantle the machine. Failure to do so, it might result in fire, electric shock and machine defect, except points mentioned in this manual.  5. Install the machine away from steam, corrosive gas or inflammable gas.   Failure to do so, it might result in fire, electric shock and machine defect.  <For Linerless>  6. In case of swallowing oil, receive medical treatment immediately.    7. In case of getting oil in eyes, irrigate eyes with plenty of water for more than 15 minutes immediately.   If stimulus becomes strong or continues, receive medical treatment.  8.Do not put any objects or other liquids into the fluid of oil.  WARNING
       1.  Check up the machine twice a year at least. The periodic check-up will prevent a mechanical trouble.   Contact our sales representatives for check up.  2.  Do not place machine by high precision device. Failure to do so, it might result in malfunction of device.  3.  Install the machine on level and stable place. Failure to do so, it might result in fire, electric shock and machine defect.  4.  Do not install the machine under excessive heat, humidity and dusty environment. Failure to do so, it might result in fire, electric shock and machine defect.  5.  Use the machine under an adequate power source and voltage indicated on the nameplate. Failure to do so, it might result in fire, electric shock and machine defect.  6.  Don't put any object and any liquid into the machine. Failure to do so, it might result in fire, electric shock and machine defect.  7.  Turn off the power switch and plug out immediately when the machine falls down or has an impact. Failure to do so, it might result in fire, electric shock and machine defect.  8.  Turn off the power switch and plug out immediately when the machine has foul smell,   odd sound, overheating, and smoke. Failure to do so, it might result in fire, electric shock and machine defect.  9. Turn off the power switch and plug out when the machine is not used for extended period. Failure to do so, it might result in fire, electric shock and machine defect.  10.Handle cutter carefully when clean up labeller unit, or exchange label.   Failure to do so, it might result in injury.     CAUTION
