We hope you are satisfied With your product. Please make sure to read this instruction manual carefully before using your speaker. Your Billboard powered speaker has a built—in amplilier and line mixer to control the devices that are connected to it. Therefore you do not need a separate amplifier or mixer in order to use it. The amplilier is properly balanced lor the output of the speakers Your Billboard powered speaker also includes a lithium ion or lead- aCld battery. This will allow you to use your speaker without any AC power for long periods of time. The battery Iile will vary based on how loud you play your speaker and what type of devices are played though it as well. It can range from 2 hours to as much as 60 hours for some models. Please make sure to read the separate section regarding lithium ion and lead-acid batteries to better understand them Your Billboard powered speaker can play many devices through its many inputs. Check the inputs carefully on your model to better understand what is compatible with your speaker Powering up your speaker 1. 3. Plug the micro USE plug into your speakers micro USB charging port (#16) Plug the USB side of your cable into your computer or laptop’s USB charging port, or into a standard USB charger (not included) Make certain that your computer or laptop is powered on, or the USB charger is plugged in to begin charging. The Charging indicator LED Iight(#17) should illuminate RED when charging and then turn to GREEN when the battery is lully charged. FOR MAXIMUM BATTERY LIFE, IT IS IMPORTANT TO FULLY CHARGE YOUR BATTERY PRIOR TO USE. 6. 7. Move the power swrtch (ME) to the ON position The LED display (#1)should activate. Adyust the volume control (MA) to the MIN position before connecting a device. You're now ready to connect your device! Connecting your BLUETOOTH "" Device Your speaker can play almost all Bluetooth devices by simply pairing the deVice to the speaker. Please follow these steps to properly pair your device to your speaker. 3‘5" 9’9‘ . Press the Mode button (#6) until the words “BLUE" appears on the LCD screen (#1). . Navigate to the Bluetooth section on your device and select “browse for devices". Look for the speaker deVice name “Bi-SPEAKER" and press connect. You should hear a connection sound on your speaker and your device should display "connected". Play the music from your device and adjust the volume on your deVice. Adyust the master volume (#14) level on the speaker to your desired volume level. Connecting your wired microphone (sold separately) 1. V‘FPN Connect your wired microphone using a V." cable into the Mic Input (fit 5). Make sure your microphone is in the ON position and talk normally. Adyust the Mic Volume (#12) to your desired volume level. Adyust the echo level (lit 3) to your desired balance. Adyust the master volume (M4) as needed. Connecting your non-bluetooth device 1. 2. 3. 4. Press the mode button (#6) until you see "LINE" in the LCD screen (N) You can connect most non-bluetooth deVices using a 1/8" mini stereo cable. Plug this into the 1/ " mini aux input (324) Play the music from your device, and adjust the volume on your device to your desired level. Adyust the master volume (M4) of your speaker to your desired level. Connecting your USB Device 1. 2. 3. 9" Plug your (FATSZ formatted) USB stick or USB deVice into the USB intertace ($12) The mode should switch automatically to "USB Mode”. Your speaker should automatically play the first MP3 song on your USB device. Adyust the volume (314) as needed. Press the Next (Mt), PreVious (#9), Play/Pause (MO) buttons as needed. Press the REPEAT button (ye) if you want the current song to repeat over and over. Press it once again to end the repeat lunction. Connecting your TF Card Insert your (FAT 32 formatted) TF Card into the TF card interface ($113) The mode should switch automatically to “TF Mode". Your speaker should automatically play the first MP3 song on your TF card. Adyust the volume 9114) as needed. Press the Next (i111), Previous (119), Play/Pause (MO) buttons as needed. Press the REPEAT button (38) if you want the current song to repeat over and over. Press it once again to end the repeat lunction. 9S"?."’!\’.4 Recording onto your USB Device 1. Insert your (FAT32 Formatted) USB Stick into the USB interface (#2) 2. Press the RECORD button (it?) on your panel until you hear a beep that indicates the start of recording. 3. Play your music devices and use the microphone as needed and your vocals will be recorded from the wired and Wireless microphones. 4. To stop recording press the RECORD (#7) button once again. 5. Your recording is saved onto your USB device Playing music trorn the built-in FM Radio 1. Press the MODE button 016) until FM Radio appears on the LCD screen (ifi ). 2. Press and hold the Play/Pause button (MO) and the speaker will begin to scan and store local stations into memory. 3. Once the scan is completed, your presets Will be saved automatically to your speaker. 4. Select your PM station by pressing the Previous 019) or Next (#11) buttons. 5. Adyust the volume (#14) as needed. About Rechargeable Batteries Rechargeable lead—acid and lithium ion batteries are similar to what is used in your car today. If you use your battery correctly and treat it well. then it can least for years. Here are some tips to get the longest Iile out ol your rechargeable battery ‘I. Charge the battery FULLY before your first use This is VERY IMPORTANT for maximum battery Iitel 2. It is also recommended to charge the battery FULLY after each use. 3 It is OK to leave your speaker plugged in (charging) when not in use. The battery Will not over-charge. 4. Do not store your battery in hot temperatures or moist areas. 5. It you are storing your battery for long periods of time, the charge may not store completely. It is recommended to re-charge again fully before your next use. 6. It is recommended to charge your battery every few months. If your battery is not charged lor more then 6 months, it may need to be replaced. 7. Keep your speaker away from tire and extreme heat, as the acid in the rechargeable batteries is extremely flammable. 8 It your battery does not charge, or does not keep the charge for long periods then it may need replacing Please contact the service number for information on replacing your battery. Troubleshooting 1. Unit does not Power On a. Make sure the micro USB plug is fully inserted into your speaker‘s micro USB charging port (M6) b. Make sure the USB side of your cable is plugged into your computer or Iaplop's USB charging port, or into a standard USB charger (not included) c. Make certain that your computer or laptop is powered on, or the USB charger is plugged in to begin charging. d. Perhaps your battery is lully drained and it will need to charge longer in order to operate correctly. 2. Speaker does not make any sound a. Make sure your speaker is powered ON correctly b. Make sure the master volume level (W4) is not all the way to the MIN mark. c. Make sure your device IS connected properly d. Make sure your device is playing the music and not in PAUSE mode. e. Make sure that the volume on your device is between 50%-85%, and not on mute mode 3. Microphone does not make any sound a. Make sure your microphone is plugged into the VA" MIC INPUT (315). Make sure the plug is completely inserted all the way. b. Make sure the microphone is in the ON position and not in the OFF or MUTE position. c. Make sure the microphone level (#12) is not all the way to the MIN mark. d. Make sure the master volume level (#14) is not all the way to the MIN mark. 4. Make certain that your computer or laptop is powered on, or the USE charger is plugged in to begin charging. d. If you do not see the red charge LED light (#17) come on, and your speaker does not play in battery mode. then perhaps your battery needs replacing.
