BatteryInstallation
1. Removetheremotecontrolandbatteryfromthepolybag.
2. Openthebatterycoveronthebackoftheremotebyslidingthecovertowardsthebottomoftheremote
3. Cleanthebatterycontactsandalsothoseofthedevicepriortobatteryinstallation.
4. Useonly12Vbatterytype23Aforreplacement,useofotherbatteriesmaydamageremote.
5. Insertnegative(‐)endofthebattery(seemarkingonbattery)intothespringsideofthebatteryholder
andinsertpositive(+)endofthebatteryintootherside.
6. Closebatterycoverbyslidingbackintoplace.
RemoteControlOperation:
1. Theremotehastwobuttonsonthefrontside:
a. ON/OFF–thisisthelargerbutton.PresstoturnthesetOFF.PressagaintoturnthesetON.
Note:evenwhenthelightsareoff,thesetstillhaspowertoalllamps,todisconnectpower,you
mustunplugtheset.
1. FUNCTION–thisisthesmallerbutton.Presstochangethelightpatterntothenextfunctionmode.
NOTES:
1. Lightsetmustbepluggedintoworkingoutletforremotetofunction.
2. WhenusingtheremotetoturnyoursetON,theremaybeaslightdelaybeforethelightpatternstarts
working.
3. Tochangethelightpattern,itisrecommendedtowaitafewsecondsafterpressingtheFUNCTIONbutton
untilyoureachthedesiredpattern.
4. Ifthelightsdonotchangefunctionorthesetdoesnotturnonoroffwiththeremote,seethetrouble
shootingsection.
5. Ifthereisapowerinterruption,includingifusedonaswitchedoutlet,onatimer,orpowerfailure,the
system’smemorywillretainthelastlightpatterndisplayed.
6. Theeffectiveoperatingdistanceoftheremoteisupto150feet(45.72meters).

TroubleshootingInstructions:
Iflightsdonotchangefunctionorturnofforonwhenabuttonispushed:
1. Checkthatthelightontheremoteisilluminatingandnotdim:
a. Checkthatbatteryisinsertedproperly(+and‐)andmakingcontact(typicallyLEDwouldnot
beilluminatinginthiscondition).
b. Cleanbatteryandremoteterminals
c. Replacebattery
2. Makesureantennaisup.
3. Makesureyouarecloseenoughtothelightsetcontrolbox.
4. Moveawayfromotheritemsthatmaycauseinterference,suchascellphones,2‐wayradios,
microwaveovens,computers,etc.
5. Makesurelightstringhaspower:
a. Makesurepowerisonattheoutlet(tryadifferentproductontheoutlettoensurepoweris
on)
b. Makesureoutletisnotpoweredbyadimmer(movetoadifferentoutlet)
c. Makesureoutletisnotonatimer(moretoadifferentoutlet)
d. ResetGroundFaultCircuitInterrupter(GFCI)incaseitaccidentallytripped.
6. Unpluglightstringplugfor1minuteandplugbackintopoweredoutletandretry.
7. Ifusedonatimercontrolledcircuit,makesurethetimerisratedforusewithCompactFluorescent
bulbs(CFL)assometimerswillnotworkproperlywithelectronics.
Ifsetsdonotturnonwhenpoweristurnedontotheset(whenpluggedin,timerturnson,orswitchcontrolling
theoutletisturnedon),trypushingthe“On/Off”buttonasitmayhavebeenturnedoffviatheremotethelast
timeitwasused(remember,thisproductwillrememberthelastfunctionitwasturnedoffat,includingifthe
remotewasusedtoturnthesetoff).

installedandusedinaccordancewiththeinstructions,maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.
However,thereisnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstallation.Ifthisequipmentdoes
causeharmfulinterferencetoradioortelevisionreception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturningtheequipmentoff
andon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferencebyoneormoreofthefollowingmeasures:
•Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.
•Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver.
•Connecttheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthereceiverisconnected.
•Consultthedealeroranexperiencedradio/TVtechnicianforhelp.
ThisdevicecomplieswithPart15oftheFCCRules.Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:(1)this
devicemaynotcauseharmfulinterference;and(2)thisdevicemustacceptanyinterferencereceived,including
interferencethatmaycauseundesirableoperation.
CAUTION:Changesormodificationsnotexpresslyapprovedbythepartyresponsibleforcompliancecouldvoidthe
user’sauthoritytooperatetheequipment.
NOTE:ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,pursuantto
Part15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainstharmfulinterference
