FOR PROTECTION FROM THESEINHERENT HAZARDS DURING INSTALLATION AND SERVICING,THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY MUST BE DISCONNECTED AND THEMAIN GAS VALVE MUST BE TURNED OFF. IF OPERATING CHECKSMUST BE PERFORMED WITH THE UNIT OPERATING, IT IS THETECHNICIANS RESPONSIBILTY TO RECOGNIZE THESE HAZARDSAND PROCEED SAFELY.Read this manual carefully before attempting to install, operate,or perform maintenance on this unit. Installation and mainte-nance should be performed by qualified service techniciansonly.As shipped from the factory, this unit is for use with natural gasonly, and is listed by Underwriters Laboratory.Model YCP-F heating/cooling units are designed for outdoormounting with a vertical condenser discharge. They can belocated either at ground level or on a roof, in accordance withlocal codes or National Fuel Gas Code (ANSI-Z223.1A) LatestRevision. Since these units are designed exclusively for outdooroperation, additional flue venting systems are not required.Each unit contains an operating charge of Refrigerant-22 asshipped.INSPECTION1. Check for damage after the unit is unloaded. Report promptly,to the carrier, any damage found to the unit. Do not drop theunit.IMPORTANT: The use of "spreader bars" is requiredwhen hoisting the unit (to prevent damage to sides andtop).2. Check the unit's nameplate to determine if the unit is correctfor the intended application. The power supply must beadequate for both the unit and all accessories.3. Check to be sure the refrigerant charge has been retainedduring shipment. Access to 1/4" flare pressure taps may begained by removing the furnace compartment access panel.IMPORTANT: DO NOT CONNECT GAS PIPING TO THE UNITUNTIL A LINE PRESSURE TEST HAS BEEN COMPLETED.DAMAGE TO THE GAS VALVE MAY RESULT IN AN UNSAFECONDITION. THIS UNIT SHOULD NEVER BE EXPOSED TOGAS LINE PRESSURE IN EXCESS OF 14 INCHES WATERCOLUMN. (1/2 PSIG)IMPORTANT: RECONNECT ALL GROUNDING DEVICES.ALL PARTS OF THIS PRODUCT CAPABLE OF CONDUCTINGELECTRICAL CURRENT ARE GROUNDED. IF GROUNDINGWIRES, SCREWS, STRAPS, CLIPS NUTS OR WASHERSUSED TO COMPLETE A PATH TO GROUND ARE REMOVEDFOR SERVICE, THEY MUST BE RETURNED TO THEIR ORIGI-NAL POSITION AND PROPERLY FASTENED.IMPORTANT: ALL POWER LEGS MAY NOT BE BROKEN BYCONTACTORS.
