Please use TW' designated battery; other batteries can cause explosion and hurt people Notice: I Please do not short-circuit the battery terminals or expose otin fire. Please dry it with a cloth betore charging to avoid any danger Warnlng: When the conductive metals such as jewelery, key or decorative chains touch the battery terminals, all the batteries are likely to cause damage to the items or personal iniury These conductive metals may rbrrn a short circuit and generates rnuch heat Do deal wtth any battery careruliy, especially when put it into pocket, wallet or other metallic containers Charging Operation Alter installing the battery pack. it the battery icon shows C 1, it means that the battery pack is out of power. Please charge it. i) Normal charging Turn oft the transceiver. Remove the battery pack out and put it into the charger. Connect Power Adapter to the charger. If the charger indicator light turns red. it is charging normally. When the charger light turns to green after charging is completed. remove the Power Adapter tirst then get out at the battery pack.it is luil With power now. Note: . it is abnormal in case oi the charger blinking berore sliding the battery pack into the charger - it the indicator light is biinking atter sliding the battery pack into the charger. maybe the battery pack is damaged or over environment temperature. - Dcnt remove the battery pack untii the charger indicator iight IS stable. 2) Using PowerAdapter tlyou forget the charger and only have Power Adapter, you can use Power Adapterto charge the TH-UV3R directly, as shown in the illustration to EXT DC lack 3) Using Program Cable if you have program cable and PC. that Will be more convenient to connect the transceiver to the Pc and get charging. INSTALLATION OF ACCESSORIES Installation of Battery Pack i)Siide the Battery Cover Latch to Unlock position---in direction of the arrowhead (D , then siide the Battery Cover toward the bottom to remove it out-nirt direction oi arrowhead®. Picture 1 2) Instaii the suppiied battery pack into Battery Compartment correctly Picture 2 Picture 1 Picture 2 Picture 3 a) Return Battery Cover back and slide the Battery Cover Latch to the Lock position Picture 3 Antenna Installation The supplied antenna provides good results over VHF or UHF range of the transceiver you need However, for enhanced base station medium-wave and shortwave reception, you may wish to connect an external antenna, as the supplied antenna is very small and can't be expected to provide high performanoe at these lrequencies The antenna has 4 different frequency bands. To install the supplied antenna, hold the bottom end of the antenna. then screw it onto the connector on the transceiver until it is snug. Do not overrtighten by use or extreme rorce. PICtUI’eS Picture 5 Notes' - Never transmit without havlng an antenna connected When instaiirng the supplied antenna, never hold the upper part or the antenna while - screwing it onto the connector on the transceiver Or you may snap the antenna. Installing Belt Clip Align the two holds ol belt clip and the two holes of the radios, fix them with the supplied M2.5x5 <3} screws. Loosen the screw set to remove belt clip.
