INTRODUCTION INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY Congratulations on choosing the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Calibre S Regatta chronograph with its exclusive new movement, the Calibre S. Developed and patented by Tag Heuer, it is a world’s first and we thank you for your confidence. Your TAG Heuer chronograph has been made in line with authentic Swiss watchmaking traditions and has been individually tested to check its water-resistance and to ensure that it is in perfect working order. Nevertheless, your watch is covered by an International Warranty, valid for two years from its date of purchase, against any defect in workmanship. The Aquaracer Calibre S Regatta chronograph operates in three modes: – TIME mode showing the time and date – CHRONO mode accurate to 1/10th sec with optimum readability – REGATTA mode with a minute countdown specially developed for use in sailing races. Issued by TAG Heuer SA, this warranty is accepted by all TAG Heuer Service Centers in over 100 countries throughout the world, provided that: This new movement, which is a direct result of TAG Heuer’s expertise in sports timing at the highest level, provides the traditional functions of time, date, and chronography. In addition, because the start of a sailing race is often a critical phase, it enables a sailor to: – the card is provided with the watch when it is sent for repair; – Set the countdown according to the race regulations (the length of the countdown to the start varies between different regattas) – Countdown the time from the first starting signal to the last – Synchronize the countdown with the intermediate signals – Start the watch automatically when the countdown reaches zero. By choosing our Aquaracer Calibre S Regatta you have opted for technical innovation, precision and endurance. Meeting these criteria of high-performance sports has been TAG Heuer’s mission since 1860. TAG Heuer is passionately devoted to the measurement of small fractions of time and has registered numerous technical patents in this field. The company has become the official timekeeper of major sports competitions and the world leader in sports watches. Each TAG Heuer watch is designed to meet the most stringent standards. The materials we use give our watches exceptional strength, even under very demanding conditions. We give particular care to the standard of finishing. Before being launched on the market, each new product is submitted to more than 60 tests for precision and quality. At the same time, your TAG Heuer watch has been individually tested to guarantee that it is water resistant and functions perfectly. With its unique, modern design your new TAG Heuer chronograph combines tradition and technical achievement. We are confident that it will give you complete satisfaction. 2 – it has been signed and dated at the time of purchase by an authorized TAG Heuer dealer; – the serial number engraved on the case is clearly legible, and no part of the underside of the original case or the original number is missing or has been modified, falsified, replaced, erased or made illegible. YOUR TAG HEUER Technical specifications Your new TAG Heuer chronograph has all the characteristics of an authentic sports watch: – water-resistance to 300 meters – a double security clasp on models with a steel and/or gold bracelet – a scratch-resistant, sapphire crystal – luminescent hands and markers Your chronograph has a high-quality quartz movement, specially developed and patented by TAG Heuer, for optimal reliability, exceptional accuracy and outstanding readability. To register your new TAG Heuer brand watch for purposes of the warranty, you must complete and 4 5 5 CARING FOR YOUR TAG HEUER WATCH We recommend cleaning a metal bracelet with soap and soft water each month. For extra security, our steel and/or gold bracelets are fitted with a double safety clasp. 7 Like any high-quality watch, your TAG Heuer chronograph requires a certain amount of care. The following guidelines will enable you to ensure your watch's reliability and protect its appearance over time. Rinsing. Be sure to rinse your chronograph regularly with fresh water and soap, particularly after it has been exposed to salt water. For frequent or prolonged use in water we recommend a steel and/or gold bracelet. Remember your chronograph is only waterproof if the crown is in position 0. Condensation. If the temperature changes suddenly, a slight condensation may appear under the crystal of your chronograph. This will soon disappear and will not affect the functioning of your watch. If the condensation does not disappear, please see your official TAG Heuer dealer. Pressure seals. Over time, the pressure seals on your chronograph may deteriorate. We recommend that you have the water-resistance of your watch checked once a year by your TAG Heuer dealer, who will replace the seals if necessary. Battery. Your chronograph is fitted with a battery that lasts for approximately two years. However, you may need to replace it before you have owned the watch for two years because it is installed before it leaves the factory. When your chronograph is not in use, we recommend selecting CHRONO mode by simply pressing the crown. With the hands stopped, the service life of the battery is prolonged. Gold plating. Some of our watches include parts that have been plated with a fine layer of yellow gold. This plating is sensitive to friction on hard or rough surfaces and may show wear over time. Under normal conditions of use, the gold plating of your watch will give you complete satisfaction.
