2. To exit the Operation Mode and enter the Power Savtng Mode. press the
power key for two seconds
3. To enter the Set—Up Mode. press the Power/Menu key once. A short
beep tone Will be generated to confirm this action.
4. Transmitting and Receivmg
- Press and hold the PTTICaII key. and speak as you normally would
just one second after pressmg. holding the unit about 2-3 inches
away from your mouth
- While transmitting, the TX icon Wlll appear on the display. When
finished. release the PTT/Call Key
— The RX icon wtlI appear on the display while receivmg the incoming
transmtssuon.
~ To optimize the performance, erect the antenna.
Flex 8. Talk Operation (Patented)
The newly invented WRIST-OPERATED
key located at the right bottom»5ide of your
device carries exactly the same functions
as the PTTICatI key located on the face of
the device. It can conveniently be operated
by a simple upwarthex of your hand.

5. ChannelScan
To scan allthe channels olthe deVIce
~ Press the Scan key on the upper lett Side of the unit Scanning
WI|| then be started it WIII pause on an active transmitting
channel, but Wili resume scanning as soon as the detected

6 VOiCeVqumeAdlustment
- Press the Up or Down key on the right side of the device.
» You may select one 01 the 4 volume levels available,
7. Sending a Call Alert Tone
- Press the PTT/Call (wristvoperated or normal) key tWice rapidly.
The CallAleri Tone will be transmitted.
- During transmissmn. the Call icon will appear on the display.
You will hear a brief Call Alert Tone to confirm the operation.
8. V0ice Operated Transmission (VOX)
-Press the PTT/Call (wrist-operated or normal) key once to
activate the VOX and start your conversation,
-Press the PTT/Call key to end your conversation. It not. the
device WI“ automatically return to normal operation mode if no
voice is detected for a time interval as set at the VOX end-lime
delay setting
9. Ear Bud
- Set your deVice to VOX Mode.
- Llfl the Headset/Charger Jack cover located at the right Side of
your unit
- Insert the Ear Bud Jack into the Headset Jack Wear the Ear Bud
and adjust the microphone location.
10 LCD Back Light
The LCD back light oi your unit Will automatically light up for 5
seconds With the pressmg of any key when lhe device is in
Operation Mode
11, Auto Squelch
The dewce is eqmpped With an automatic squelch system that will
automatically cui of! weak iransmissmns and unwanted noises
due to terrain conditions and range limitations,
