Available only on zone 3 (the motion detector in your TanleTale) to allow the user to arm
the system while standing in from of the TattleTale unit Force Arming allows the system
to be armed with a green "READY" light flashing
2. Ann your TattleTale by using the keypad to enter a valid master code or one of the
auxiliary codes.
I Each time a key is pressed on the keypad, a she" tone (beep) will be heard
- lfthe keypad beeps three times afier a code entry, the code was not accepted;
I Check to be sure that all zones are secure.

- Continuous beeps alter arming indicates loss of AC power. AC power must be

NOTE: If the exit door is open when the exit delay (60 seconds) expires, the siren will
sound. The entry delay will begin. At the end of this time your TnttleTnle will report
to the monitoring company. You must enter a valid code dun’ng this delay time to
disarm the system.

Bypassing Zones - Bypass a zone if you do not want it protected while your TanleTaIe is
armed.
I Be sure the Tattle'l‘ale is not armed You cannot bypass a zone when the system is
armed.
- Only authorized user codes will be able to "bypass" zones
Press star [ ‘ 1 and the zone number you want to bypass [zone It ] and star [ ' ] again
I This bypasses the zone and the indicator light for the corresponding zone will be "on".

[mum/Delay Function
Use this function if you do not want a delay on your entry/exit doors.
- Press the smr[ ' 1 key on your keypad while the system is "armed".
- The "INSTANT/ARMED" light will flash and there will he no entry delay when the
entry/exit doors are opened.
- When the "INSTANT/ARMED" light is “on“ and the exit delay has expired, the
opening ot‘an entry/exit door will produce an immediate alarm This feature is ideal
when you do not expect an authorized entry.
- Press the star [ ‘ ] again to turn ofithe "instant“ feature
Chime Function
The "chime" mode allows monitoring of specified zones while the TattleTale is NOT
armed The “chime" is a "beep" sound when a zone is opened
Activating the "Chime" mode,
- You must know the master code
| Press the first digit of your master code Wait approximately 5 seconds

Keypad Activated Panic/Hold—up Alarm
Use this feature only in an emergency situation, requiring immediate response by law
enforcement personnel
- Press the star [ ‘ ] and pound { fé ] keys on the keypad at the same time for at least one
second
- The siren will sound and strobe light will flash
- An emergency report will be transmitted to the monitoring company
Fire Zone (Only ifyon purchlse the optional smoke detectors)
Zone 8 is the designated “Fire Zone"
I When approved heat or smoke detectors are attached to this selected zone, a "fire"
alarm sound (pulsing siren) will be initiated from the TattleTflle
Familiarize yourself and your family or staff with this pulsing sound

To silence the audible "fire" alarm sound, enter a valid code.
Reset zone 8. Press the pound [ #] key on your keypad Afier ten (IO) seconds the
light will go out on zone 8. If you are unable to reset zone 8 after all smoke has cleared,
call the service company
NOTE: The smoke detector must be reset alter a "fire" alarm so that i

In the event ofa system malfunction. press the pound [ fl ] key (reset) on the keypad This
should meet the code sequence and restore normal operation lfthe problem persists, call
the service company.

Your TattleTale "ZONE indicator lights will begin “flashing rapidly" to indicate a low
battery condition
