Users Manual

1) The zCO01 Coordinator unit is installed first. Locate a 120vac output in the
approximate physical center of the zRY01 units to be installed in the attic. It is
important that the Coordinator unit be able to communicate with at least one of the
Relay unit(s) located in the attic. Plug the Coordinator into the 120VAC outlet on
one of the floors, not in the attic.
2) Setting up the zRC01 Remote Control.
a) Insert the batteries
b) Leds “1 - 6” will flash quickly
c) after a few seconds, Leds “1 - 6” stop flashing.
This confirms the Remote Control has linked to the Coordinator.
3) The zRY01 Relay units are installed next.
Plug the first zRY01 into the 120VAC outlet closest to the Coordinator. Plug the
Fan into the outlet on the zRY01. Allow approx 15 seconds for the zRY01 unit to
connect to the Coordinator.
Test the link with the Remote Control:
a) Press and hold the All button for 2 seconds, then release
b) Leds “1 - 6” will flash quickly
c) after a few seconds, the “1” led and the “1:00” led should light,
this means the zRY01 unit will be controlled with button “1”
d) Press the On button, the zRY01 unit should switch on
e) Press the “1” button, the led will go off
f) Press the Clear button, the zRY01 unit should switch off
The zRY01 unit is working with button “1”.
4) Plug each of the zRY01 units in one at a time, and follow the same procedure for
each as in step 3) above, testing each zRY01 unit, before installing the next. As
each zRY01 is added to the network, the next Fan select button is used.
This product provides convenient control of the QuietCool fans, from inside the
home. The Wireless Fan Control system consists of 3 units:
1) The zRC01 Remote Control is used to set fans on and off, or to set a fan or
group of fans on for a timed duration.
2) The zCO01 Coordinator runs the wireless network. **Only one zCO01 allowed
per network**
3) The zRY01 Relay units switch the Fan power on and off. One zRY01 is used
per Fan, a maximum of 6 zRY01 per network are allowed.
**more than one Coordinator in a network will cause the network to fail

The zRC01 Remote Control is used to set a fan, or a group of Fans, on or off.
It can also set the Fans on for a predetermined amount of time.
1) The Remote Control goes into sleep mode when the switches are not pressed for
a period of time. To wake up the Remote Control, press the All switch.
The “1-6” Leds will light to indicate which zRY01 units are ready to use.
2) Select the Fan(s) to be controlled, using the “1-6” switches. An LED lights on to
indicate the selected Fan(s). Any combination of Fans can be selected, by pressing
the “1-6” switches, each switch press toggles the Fan select on and off.
The All switch can be used to select all available Fans.
3) To set the selected Fans on, press any of the timer switches (:10 to 5:00), to set
the selected Fan(s) on, for that timed period. Or press the On switch to set all
selected Fans on, with no timer.
4) To set the selected Fans off, press the Clear switch.
