21.1.1 character Field (rum)
This is a 5 X 5 dot matrix with 15 manners ltis used lo display the name oflhe caller, in Which
instance the characters Will be rignljusllfied. In the case of a name In axons of 15 draracwls, i
will be the inner characters which are discarded. This display rim is also used for prompting
messages all of which will be mmerjuslilied. All characters are displayed In capitals.

entry modes, sequential pressing of a numeric key sequences thmugh the available letters and

2.2.1.5 Flash Key  & Enter Key 
The flash key is dedicated to performing a timed loop break (scams) while ochoek. The flash key
dos not cause any special altemafinn of Call Waiting ch (CWCID) infon'nation afler an incoming
cwch event. Flashes can be stored in mernory diet sequences.
2.2.1.8 Hold Key {HOLD>
The Held key is used to put an engaged line on hold. if a single line is alreadypn hold, pissing
held releases that line tram hold. if both lines are on hard, pressing hold has no action.
2.2.1.7 Menu key 
The Menu key is a mull‘flunction key used togetherwith, a single press at less lhan'1.5
seconds will activate the options menu, subsequent presses of less than 1.5 seconds advance the
list item within the nptions menu. A key-press of more than 1.5 seconds wnhin the options menu
results in all states being stored and retumlng the telephone to its idle slate. Anotherfeelme of the
options key is, it presed for more than a second and e haiftrom the idle er err-carding state, the
phonebook menu will be initiated, Entries can first be viewed and then altered by either semiling
through the entries one by one using the uplduwn (AN) wrsurs, , or by dreary accessing an entry
by entering a number between 1 and 20. The phunstmok entry being viewed will be displayed in
the two digits usually reserved for displaying the number ofcaller id calls“ in the memory. An empty
display will have no digits and the accompanying tentwill read empty
