PC INTERFACE ADDEQDUM
Operating Uniden SportCat SCISO Scanner with Add-on PC Interface
The modified SportCat with PC interface has been enhanced by the addition of
an add-in board that manages the PC to Scanner connection. This interface along
with appropriate PC software allows all 100 memories of the SCISO to be
programmed or re-programmed as desired.
The add-in board has two modes of operation. When the scanner is turned on
with a cable connected between the scanner and PC the add»in board enters
PROGRAMMING MODE and the PC interface circuitry remains active allowing the
scanner to be programmed from the PC. It the scanner is turned with no cable PC
interface cable attached the add-in board enters POWER SAVEMODE, which turns off
the PC interface circuitry to conserve battery power.
