Installation Guide for Transition Reader (RX-STU-ETR1) 15 January 2004 I.  Transition Reader as Shipped from Factory The Transition Reader as shipped from our factory is compliant with FCC Part 15 Rules. (Fig. 1)        Figure 1: Original T.I. Separated Antenna (Top Stand) and Reader (Bottom Base) If the Transition Reader is separated into Reader (Bottom Base) and Antenna (Top Stand), the following instructions must be performed in order to be FCC Part 15 compliant. (Fig. 2) 1)  Separate Antenna (Top Stand) and Reader (Bottom Base) a minimum distance of 24 inches. 2)  If the 48 inch antenna cable is to be coiled or bundled, the antenna cable coil must be a minimum of 12 inches away from the Reader (Bottom Base).
