COLOR WEATHER STATION with PHOTO VIEWER MODEL: FWA801 INSTRUCTION MANUAL Congratulations on your of purchasing this new color Weather Station. This unique product is designed for everyday use for the home or office and is a definite asset of great use. To fully benefit from all the features and understand the correct operation of this product, please read this instruction manual thoroughly. FUNCTIONS OF THE WEATHER STATION This product measures the environment of its surrounding area and receives weather data transmitting from up to five outdoor sensors for temperature and humidity. The data is continuously updated to bring you the latest weather information displayed on the 8 inches TFT color display of the receiving unit. Its wireless 915 MHz can transmit data over a distance of 100 feet in open space. FEATURES: A. VIEWER UNIT

1. LED indicator Flashes when remote unit transmits a reading. 2, 3. Temperature & Humidity display LCD Displays for temperature and humidity readouts. 4. Channel number Indicates the remote sensor is set to which channel and the user can find the corresponding reading in the same channel in the linked receiving unit. 5. Battery compartment Description of Buttons The remote sensor has 3 function buttons inside the battery compartment (5). 6. [CH] button After the battery installation, the Channel No. blinks slowly every 1.5 seconds to indicate it is now under channel setting mode and is set to Channel 1 by default. If the user presses no key within 10 seconds, the unit will auto-exit the channel setting. If the user press [CH] button once during the channel setting, the Channel No. will blink twice every 1.6 seconds to indicate the unit is set to Channel 2. If the user press [CH] button again, the channel number will be advanced to Channel 3 and the Channel No. will blink 3 times and so on. The maximum channel number is ‘5’ and the unit will be scrolled back to Channel ‘1’ at the 5th press of the [CH] button. 7. [°C/°F] Button Press to toggle unit °C(Centigrade) or °F(Fahrenheit). 8. [RESET] Button Press to hardware reset the unit to factory setting
GETTING STARTED The FWM801 Color Weather Station was designed for easy set up. For best operation, the following steps are required to be done in the proper sequence. Connect the adaptor power plug into the power socket of the Frame unit, and then plug in the power adaptor into the wall Jack; Note: The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible. Setting procedure to link up with a receiving unit The following steps are required to be done in proper sequence to link up the remote sensor with a receiving unit. 1. Power on the receiving unit. 2. Install 2 pieces AA size batteries to remote sensors according to polarity marking on the battery compartment. 3. The LED blinks slowly to indicate it is set to channel one and the user can set it to other channel by press [Channel] key, namely channel 1. Channel 2, channel 3, channel 4, channel 5. 4. The temperature of the remote sensor and the corresponding channel number will appear on the receiving unit within 2 minutes if it is linked up with the receiving unit successfully. 5. The temperature and corresponding channel numbers of different remote sensors will show on the screen by turns for every 5 seconds. 6. Follow the same procedure (2 to 4) to register other remote sensors. Note: 1.For the user purchasing more than one remote sensor, he must set the sensors to different channel in the start up to avoid conflicts. 2. Since the transmitter unit transmit signals for every 1 minute, it is suggested to reset power of all the sensors within 1 minute to ensure the temperature of the sensors and the channels shall be received and showed on the screen after the receiving unit is powered on. 1. Power up SCREEN When the unit is powered on or press the Power Key in standby mode, within 3 seconds, the power up screen will display for approx. 5 seconds. Then it will advance to the Main Menu screen.
When it is the first time for the DPF to be turned on, the language selection interface will be shown on the display. If you want to reenter the language selection mode, choose Reset Default Setting in the setting mode to select your desired language and after confirmation, the system will be restarted. Page-No-Card 2. MAIN MENU After entering the menu mode, the weather, indoor temperature, indoor humidity, outdoor temperature, outdoor humidity, channel, calendar, time and air pressure.
There are three icons on the Main Menu that you can choose from. Those icons are the SETTING, CALENDAR, and PHOTOS( ). Each of these icons will be described in more detail later. Use the directional arrows on the remote control or the buttons on the unit to move through the Main Menu and highlight an icon. Once you have chosen an icon, hit the [ ] button to confirm your selection and explore further. Once you are done exploring an icon, hit the [Esc] button to return to the main menu. The main menu icons are not real-time active; the icons are just pictures that simulate the detail screen. 2.1 SETTING ICON The Setting icon is located on the lower right hand corner of the Main Menu which is also adjacent to the frame of the unit or you can also press the SETUP button on the remote sensor to enter the setting mode. Once the icon has been highlighted (see the above image) press the [ ] button to confirm your selection. You are then taken to a screen similar to the below image.
` There are 20 different sections in the Settings main screen. Hit the “▲” or “▼” arrows to navigate through the sections. Once the curser has highlighted a desired section hit the [ ] button to confirm the selection. Use the Left or Right direction keys to make the appropriate changes to the setting. When you finish with a setting, hit the [ ] button to confirm the change made and continue making changes in another section. Once you have completely finished making changes press the [EXIT] button to return to the main menu. 2.1.1. Image Display Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to select the Image Display menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then navigates“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired image display setting; namely, Stretch, Crop, Original. Finally press Enter or [ ] to confirm the setting and the selected item will turn to yellow again. 2.1.2. Slide Show Effect and Slide Show Interval 1)Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to select the Slide Show Effect menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then navigates “►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired Slide Show Effect setting; namely, Wave, 3D circle, Open Door, Clock Flip, All, and Reel. Finally press Enter or [ ] to confirm the setting and the selected item will turn to yellow again. 2) Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to select the Slide Show Interval menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then navigates “►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired Slide Show Interval setting indicating the interval between two slideshows; namely, 3 Seconds, 5 Seconds, 10 Seconds, 2 Minutes, 1Hour. Finally press Enter or [ ] to confirm the setting and the selected item will turn to yellow again.
2.1.3. Date Format and Date 1)Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to select the Date format menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then navigates “►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired Date Format setting; namely, dd—mm—yyyy and mm—dd--yyyy. Finally press Enter or [ ] to confirm the setting and the selected item will turn to yellow again. 2) The Date setting is closed related to the date format setting. For example, the selected date format is mm—dd—yyyy. Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to select the Date menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the Month digit will be highlighted in a rectangle indicating the Month digit is selected, then navigates “►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired month setting and press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 3) After the Month is confirmed, the Date digit will be highlighted in a rectangle indicating the Date digit is selected, then navigates “►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired date setting and press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 4) After the Date is confirmed, the Year digit will be highlighted in a rectangle indicating the Year digit is selected, then navigates “►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired Year setting and press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 2.1.4. Time Format and Time Setting 1)Press “►” or “◄” arrows to select the Time Format menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then navigates “►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired Time Format setting; namely, 24 Hours and 12 Hours. Finally press Enter or [ ] to confirm the setting and the selected item will turn to yellow again. 2)Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for TIME, press [ ] button to confirm and the Hour digit will be highlighted in a rectangle indicating the Hour digit is selected, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired Hour setting and press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 3) After the Hour is confirmed, the Minute digit will be highlighted in a rectangle indicating the Minute digit is selected, then navigates “►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired Minute setting and press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 4) After the Minute is confirmed, the Second digit will be highlighted in a rectangle indicating the Second digit is selected, then navigates “►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired Second setting and press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 5)Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for Time DST, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired setting and press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 6) Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for Time Zone, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired setting and press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 2.1.5. Temperature Unit Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for Temperature Unit, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired setting including Celsius and Fahrenheit and press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 2.1.6 Alarm Setting 1) Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for Alarm Time #1 Status, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows
to select the desired setting, namely Enable and Disable. Then press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 2) Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for Alarm Snooze menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired setting namely, 5 minutes, 7minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes and 20 minutes to , indicate the time that the alarm will snooze between the consecutive two alarming intervals. Then press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 3) Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for Alarm Time #1 Setting menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired alarm time setting, namely, every day and working days. Then press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 4) Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for Alarm Time menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired alarm time, including hour and minute. Then press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 5) Follow the above four steps to set alarm #2. Note: When the setting alarm time is reached, the alarm will beep for 1 minute. Press EXIT button to stop the alarm. 2.1.7 Screen Setting 1) Brightness Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for Brightness menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired brightness setting, namely level 0, level 1, level 2, level 3, level 4, level 5, and level 6. Then press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 2) Contrast Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for Contrast menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired contrast setting, namely level 0, level 1, level 2, level 3, level 4, level 5, and level 6. Then press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 3) Reset Default Setting Press “▲” or “▼” arrows to scroll up/down the list for Reset Default Setting menu, press [ ] button to confirm and the selected item turns into red, then toggle“►” or “◄” arrows to select the desired setting, namely Yes and No. Then press [ ] or Enter button to confirm. 4) Firmware Version This menu shows the firmware version of the unit. 2.2 Calendar Icon The Calendar icon is also located on the lower right hand corner of the Main Menu beside the Setting icon. Once the icon has been highlighted, press the [ ] button to confirm your selection. You are then taken to a screen similar to the below image. The calendar shown on the display is the time, date, month and year that you have previously set. In this mode, press left key, it will enter next month and press right key, it will enter the previous month of the set value.
2.3. Photo Icon The Photo icon is located on the lower left hand corner of the Main Menu. Once the icon has been highlighted (see the above image) press the [ ] button to confirm your selection. Make sure your memory card is inserted in the unit before entering into this screen.
2.3.1. Display a photo Once you are in the main screen of the photo icon you will see a total of prerecorded photos. Hit the“◄”, “►” , “▲” or “▼” arrows to select the desired photo. After the desired photo is highlighted, hit the [ ] button or press the Enter button to increase the size of the photo to a full screen display. You can also scan through the photos in full screen mode by pressing the “◄”, “►” buttons. If a memory card is inserted, you will see the photos also recorded there. 2.3.2 Activate a slideshow Once you have a photo in full screen mode hit the [ ] button, or press the button of Slide Show button on the sensor unit, the slide show will start automatically. The slide show will continue to run until the [ ] button is pressed again. Pressing the [ ] button a second time will end the slide show. The photo will remain in full screen mode until the [EXIT] button is pressed returning the screen to the original photo menu. The slide show setting has been described in the previous setting icon section. Please refer to that section to get your desired slide show setting.
