USERS MANUAL

The telephone company may make changes in its communications facilities, equipment,
operations or procedures where such action is required in the operation of its business and
not inconsistent with FCC Rules and Regulations. If these changes are expected to affect the
use or performance of your telephone equipment, the telephone company must give you
adequate notice, in writing, to allow you to maintain uninterrupted service.
INTERFERENCE INFORMATION
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference; and (2) This device must accept
any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital
device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable
protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed
and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation.
Privacy of Communications may not be ensured when using this product.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be
determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna (that is, the antenna for radio or television
that is “receiving” the interference).
Reorient or relocate and increase the separation between the telecommunications
equipment and receiving antenna.
Connect the telecommunications equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that
to which the receiving antenna is connected.
If these measures do not eliminate the interference, please consult your dealer or an
experienced radio/television technician for additional suggestions. Also, the Federal

EQUIPMENT APPROVAL INFORMATION
Rights of the Telephone Company
Should your equipment cause trouble on your line which may harm the telephone network,
the telephone company shall, where practicable, notify you that temporary discontinuance
of service may be required. Where prior notice is not practicable and the circumstances
warrant such action, the telephone company may temporarily discontinue service
immediately. In case of such temporary discontinuance, the telephone company must: (1)
promptly notify you of such temporary discontinuance; (2) afford you the opportunity to
correct the situation; and (3) inform you of your right to bring a complaint to the Commission
pursuant to procedures set forth in Subpart E of Part 68, FCC Rules and Regulations.
FCC RF RADIATION EXPOSURE STATEMENT
This equipment complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled
environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20
centimeters between the radiator and your body. This transmitter must not be co-located or
operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
For body worn operation, this phone has been tested and meets the FCC RF exposure
guidelines when used with the belt clip supplied with this product. Use of other accessories
may not ensure compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines.

USER'S GUIDE
INTRODUCTION
CAUTION: When using telephone equipment, there are basic
safety instructions that should always be followed. Refer to the
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS provided with this product
and save them for future reference.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Make sure your package includes the items shown here.
TELEPHONE JACK REQUIREMENTS
To use this phone, y ou need an RJ11C type modular telephone
jack, which might look lik e the one pictur ed here, installed in
your home. If you don’t have a modular jack , call your local
phone company to -nd out how to get one installed.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
Avoid sources of noise and heat , such as motors, fluorescent lighting, microwave
ovens, heating appliances and direct sunlight.
Avoid areas of excessive dust, moisture and low temperature.
Avoid cordless telephones or personal computers.
Never install 21518 wiring during a lightning storm.
Never install telephone jacks in w et locations unless the jack is speci-cally
designed for w et locations.
Never touch non-insulated telephone wir es or terminals, unless the telephone line
has been disconnected at the netw ork inter face.
Use caution when installing or modif ying telephone lines.
BASE LAYOUT
Installation
1. Chose an area near an electrical outlet and a telephone wall jack (RJ11), and
place GE-21518XX-A on a level surface, such as a desktop or tabletop.
2. Connect one end of telephone line cord it into GE-21518XX-A LINE jack
and the other end into telephone wall jack.
3. Connect line cord of home phone to PHONE jack of GE-21518XX-A.
4. Plug AC power converter into electrical outlet and L plug into the power jack
of 21518. 
5. Red LED of GE-21518XX-A will be on.
Pair and Connect
GE-21518XX-A supports a maximum of two Bluetooth phone devices. 
1) Press and hold CELL 1 button until LED flashing, GE-21518XX-A is entered to
pairing mode. To stop pairing, press CELL 1 again.
2) Refer to instruction manual of cell phone on proper procedure to add and pair
a new device.
3) Use the number keys to enter the default PIN 0000 on Bluetooth cell phone
device. When the device is paired and connected successfully, CELL 1 LED of
GE-21518XX-A will be on continuously.
To pair and connect the other cell phone with GE-21518XX-A, use CELL 2 button
with same procedure as above.
Disconnect
Press and release CELL 1button, CELL 1 LED will be off, GE-21518XX-A will
disconnect cell 1 with cell phone. Press CELL 1 again, cell 1 connection will be
resumed. 
To disconnect cell 2, use CELL 2 button with same procedure as above.
Cancel pairing
Press and hold CELL 1 button for 5 seconds to cancel cell 1 pairing, CELL 1 LED
will be off.
To cancel cell 2 pairing, use CELL 2 button with same procedure as above.
Making A Call Via Telephone Line
Pick up handset of land phone, a dial tone will be heard. Dial the desire number. 
If telephone line is unplugged or in-used by other phones, three beep warning tone
will be heard. If you want to mark call via cell, refer below.
Making A Call Via Cell
Pick up handset of land phone, a dial tone will be heard (If telephone line is
unplugged or in-used by other phones, three beep warning tone will be heard).
Dial *1# (or *2#) following the desire number then # to make call via cell 1 (or cell2). 
Answering A Call
Pick up handset of land phone.
Parallel Phone Operationc
If telephone line is in-used by other phone, pick up handset of land phone, three
beep warning tone will be heard, dial *0# to connect land phone with telephone
line for parallel phone operation.
Trouble Shooting Guide
No dial tone 
* Ensure the AC adapter is plug in to a working electrical outlet.
* Check and repeat installation steps:
Ensure the AC adapter is plug in to a working electrical outlet.
Ensure the telephone line cord is connected to the LINE jack of
GE-21518XX-A and the wall jack.
* Connect another phone to same wall jack, if there is still no dial tone, the
problem might be your wiring or local service.   
You experience static, noise, or fading and out
* The CELL phone may be out of range from GE-21518XX-A. Move it to a
distance of 2 feet to 10 feet from GE-21518XX-A.
* The CELL phone may be too closely from GE-21518XX-A. . Move it to a
distance of 2 feet to 10 feet from GE-21518XX-A.
* Make sure GE-21518XX-A is not plugged into an outlet with another
household appliance. If necessary, relocate GE-21518XX-A.
* The CELL phone may be too closely from home phone. Move it to a
distance of 2 feet to 10 feet from home phone.
Unit lock up
* Unplug the AC power adapter from the wall outlet and back of unit. Wait
for 5 seconds and plug the power adapter back into the unit and wall outlet.

CAUSES OF POOR RECEPTION
Aluminum siding.
Foil backing on insulation.
Heating ducts and other metal construction that can shield radio signals.
You’re too close to appliances such as microwaves, stoves, computers, etc.
Atmospheric conditions, such as strong storms.
Unit is installed in the basement or low er oor of the house.
Unit is plugged into A C outlet with other electronic devices.
GENERAL PRODUCT CARE
To keep your unit working and looking good, follow these guidelines:
Clean the unit with a soft cloth.
Never use a strong cleaning agent or abrasive powder because this will
damage the -nish.
Retain the original packaging, if need to ship the phone at a later date arises.

If trouble is experienced with this equipment, for warranty information, please contact
customer service at 1-800-448-0329. If the equipment is causing harm to the telephone
network, the telephone company may require that you disconnect the equipment until the
problem is resolved.
