3TO SET THE TIMEPull out the watch stem on the side of the watch.Rotate the stem until the watch indicates the correct time.Press the watch stem back to its original position. Pleasenote that the watch may not retain its water resistance ifthe stem is left in the outward position.41 II14IIIIIIIIIIIIQUARTZIIIIIIIIIIIIQUARTZ1:00 am 7:30 pmWhen you first receive your Lifeline Tempo Watch,you will need to set the time and conduct a signalrange test to determine which areas of your homewill be covered by the service.WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR LIFELINE TEMPO WATCH2USING YOUR LIFELINE TEMPO WATCHPress the gold button on the face of your Lifeline Tempo Watch when you are within range of your LifelineCommunicator. The Lifeline Communicator will beep and dial the Lifeline Response Center. A LifelinePersonal Response Associate will come on the line andask you if you need help.Always wear your Lifeline Tempo Watch. It is waterresistant to 100 feet, so it will never be damaged bycontact with water (the stem of the watch must bepushed in). Remember, if you are not wearing yourLifeline Tempo Watch, you may not be able to contactLifeline when help is needed.Thank you for selecting the Lifeline®Tempo™Watch.Your Lifeline Tempo Watch provides you with theindependence and peace of mind of the Lifeline service in an attractive watch for daily use. Yourwaterproof watch should always be worn in theshower or tub and should only be removed whenyou’re using your other Lifeline Personal Help Button.
4 5TO CONDUCT A SIGNAL RANGE TESTAttach the Lifeline Tempo Watch to your wrist.Press and hold the Reset Bar on your LifelineCommunicator to start the test. The Communicator willbeep and say “Start range test” or “Start test.”Walk around the house with your watch. In each room,press the Help Button on the watch to see if the Communicator responds with a beep. The “beep”indicates that from that location in your home, theLifeline Tempo Watch will alert the Lifeline ResponseCenter that help is needed.Continue moving aroundthe house and be sure tocheck the bathrooms.When you’ve completedthe signal range test,press the blinking ResetBar or Reset Button toend the range test.CHANGING THE WATCH BANDIf the wristband or wrist strap on your Lifeline TempoWatch becomes damaged, or you would like to replace itwith another one, please contact a local retailer which carries and services watches. The wristband width is a standard size (18mm) so it will accommodate an off-the-shelf replacement.SERVICING YOUR LIFELINE TEMPO WATCHYour Lifeline Tempo Watch includes a limited one yearwarranty against defects in manufacturing (see next page)and can also be serviced or replaced by Lifeline after the warranty has expired. Important: do not bring your Lifeline Tempo Watch to a commercial jeweler for servicing or changing of the battery. What Lifeline Will Do:If this watch develops such a defect within the one yearperiod, it will be repaired (i.e. a new or thoroughlyreconditioned and inspected module will be installed or replaced and a watch of equal value and similarappearance will be supplied) at our option, and you provide proof of purchase and date of purchase. This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover:Lifeline Systems will not repair defects relating to servicingnot performed byLifeline Systems. Lifeline Systems will notprovide any warranty service if your watch shows evidencethat it has been tampered with, misused, abused, oraltered; for example: moisture damage sufficient to affectthe proper function of the watch; damage to the case; or visible cracking of the crystal.
