The SMFS-725 operates using the supplied AC Adapter (Operate at 120v ~ SUHZ) or 4 x ‘C' size (UM-2)
batteries (not included)
Ac ADAPTOR OPERATION
NOTE: Only use the supplied adapter
l Plug the Ac adaptor into normal Ac power outlet socket.
2 Insert the Dc plug olthe AC adaptor cord into the DC lrlputlack (ms) at the back olthe unit
3 When the unit is operated using AC adapter, the battery source Will automatically be disconnected.
WARNING: Befole connecting to the power supply ensure that the supply corresponds to the
intormation on the rating label at the back ot the apparatus.
Battery operation
NOTE ; DisconnectAc adapter betore install batteries
For best pertorrnance and longer operating time, we recommend the use at alkaline batteries
t Remove the Battery Door of BATTERY COMPARTMENT (#22) on the bottom of the unit,
2 Fulluwlng the polarity diagram shown in the BA‘ITERV COMFARTMENT (#22) to insert 4 x ‘0 size
lUMaZ) batteries and close the door,
Backup Batteries
Batteries are preloaded in the unit Remove the insulation tab tram the battery compartment to activate
the battery back—up betore tirst use
To replace the batteries, caretully open the battery door ot the BATTERY BACK-UP COMPARTMENT
(#21). Remove the old batteries and follow the polarity marking to insert 2 x new LRM/AG‘lS button
cells into the compartment and close the battery door,
BATTERY WARNING
Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly, Wrong polarity may damage the unit,
Use only the size and type of batteries specified
Do not mix old and new batteries
Do not mix alkaline standard (carbonszinc) or rechargeable (nlckelscadmlum) batteries.

When using either the AC adaptor or battery first slide the MAIN POWER ON/OFF SWITCH (#15) on
the back ot the unit to the ON position The POWER INDICATOR (#19) will turn on‘ LED DISPLAY (#12)

LISTENING THE RADIO

Press the FM STIMONO button tea) to select stereo mode. the LED Display (#12)WIII show “St" a

It is prelerable to receive the program in mono when you are receiving a weak station. Press the FM
ST/MONO button (#3) to select Mono mode, the LED Display (#12) will show “St OF" a low seconds
and then resume to show the frequency

Setting the Radio Station Presets
The SMFSJZS allows you to store up to an stations for easy recall at any time
1' Press and hold the WWII-mm) button two) to turn on the unit
2' Tap the mu:0(#10) button to select radio mode.
3. Time to the radio station either you want to store in memory.
4. Press and hold the PRESET/TIME SET button (#2) The preset channel number “P01" vvill be
hashing on display
Tap the i« button m) or »i button (#5) to select the preset number (Pot—P30)
Tap the PRESET/TIME SET button (#2) to eontirm
7 To store up to 30 station presets, repeat steps 3 to 6 above

RECALLING PRESET MEMORY CHANNELS
To recall a preset station.
1 in radio mode, tap the PRESET/TlME SET button (#2)‘ the preset number will appear on display
2 Tap the PRESET/TIME SET button (#2) repeatedly to select the preset channel or tap the l« button
(#4) or »t button (#5) to recall the preset channel you want.

BLUETOOTH OPERATION
Pairing a Bluetocth enabled device with the SNIPS-725,
t Turn on the SMPSJZS, tap the WmmNi‘L" button (MD) to select Bluetooth mode, “bl" will show on
the LED Display (#12) and the BLUETOOTH lNDlCATOP (#13) will flash,
2 Turn on the Bluetooth function for the device you want to link to, and enable the search or scan
function to find the SMPSV725
3 Select " SMPs-vzs" from the device list when it appears on your device screen. if required, enter the
pass code "0000" to pair (link) the unit with your device
4 lfyou are pairing (linking) your computer to the speaker using Bluetooth, you may need to set the
SMPs-725 as your computer's default sound device
5 After successfully pairing (linking) the Bluetooth enable device, the BLUETOOTH INDICATOR (#13)
will stop flashing and remain lit and a short beep will be heard
6 if you want to connect the SMPSJZS to another Bluetooth device, press and hold the DIMMER/
PAlPlNG button (#9) for 2 seconds, the Blue LED will change to flashing again, repeat step 24 above,
Note :The SMPSJZS may automatically reconnected to a previously linked device that is in range, so
you may need to turn offthe Bluetooth on any paired deVice ms! before going through the above
steps.
Now you can play music from your Bluetooth device wirelessly to the stops-725.
1 Select your favorite song, press the Play/Pause >ll/r- Button (#6) on your Bluetooth device or the
Play/Pause >tt/r- Button (#6) on the SAWS-725 to play or pause the song from your Btuetooth device
2 Press the Skip Backward m button (#4) or Skip Forward »t button (#5) to select the Next or
Previous track,
(The SEARCH function does not apply to Bluetooth operation)
3 Slowly adjust both the volume controls of your SMPSJZS and your Bluetooth device until you reach
a comfortable listening level

t Refer to the manual of your cell phone, tablet PC, computer or other Bluetooth enabled devices for
Bluetooth operation since it may vary from model to model
2 If your Bluetooth enabled device does not support A2BP profile, it will not play the music through
the speaker, even if paired (linked),
3 Remember to turn off the SMPSJZE when you have finished listening, slide the MAIN POWER
ON/OFF SWITCH (m5) to OFF position,
4 Don't forget to swtch offthe power ofyour exlefnal audio device as well

To use your Bluetooth speaker as a speakerphone for receiving a phone call from a Bluetooth enabled
phone,
i Follow the “BLUETOOTH OPERATION" section to set up the Bluetooth connection With your
smartphone,
2 When a call is received while music is playing. the music will be replaced by a ringtone Press the
Play/Pause bit/(- Button (#6) once to answer the call
Use the VOLUME «(— buttons (dz/d5) to adyust the desired volume level
To ignore an incoming call, simply press and hold the Play/Pause Hw- Button (#6) for about :t to 4
seconds, a beep sound will be heard and the call was ignored
5 When the call is completed, press the Planyause >tt/r- Button (its) once to end the call, if you were
playing music from the SMPSJZE before answering the call, the music will automatically resume
playing when you hang up,

The SMPSJZS features a USB port for charging your portable device (iPod, iPhone, Android phone elo.)
Note : USE charging only works when unil operales in AC power mode via the AC adaplor (includedl
It When lhe AC power is connected, switch the MAIN POWER ON/OFF SWITCH (#15) on lhe back or
the unit to ON position
2' Plug the standard end or the USB cable (not Included] into the usa Charging Port (#15) located on
the back olthe SMPSV725. Plug the other end oi the cable into the device you wish to charge
3. Observe the battery charge indicator on your device to make sure the charging process starts normally.

RESETTING THE UNIT
SYSTEM RESET
It the unit experiences a power surge or electric shock, it is possible that the internal micro-controller
may lock and the unit will not respond to any commands from the panel soulful. In this event, Disconnect
the AC power and remove all inserted batteries and button cells for around one minute Reinsert the
batteries and reconnect the power once the time has passed,
