[ME TO CHANGE BAITERIES: ll V Mail doesn‘t work or its performance

to your Iriends through walls and up to 100'ieet away. Just speak into the
microphone to record your voice and send it to just one or a lew. Your friend's
V Mail light erI flash to let them know they have a message. Listen to messages
you receive either privately in Whisper mode or Out Loud so everyone can hear.
Von can send messages to a specific triend or groups of lriends using a 3-digil
PIN number. You and youririendts) just agree on a 3-digit Active PlN to use and
you an send private messages to each other. You can choose irom up to 64
dittereni Active PIN combinations (1-2—3. 2-34, 1-4-4, etc ...) with each digit
being between 1 and 4

How To use
To TURN ON/OFF:
Press the ON l OFF button In the down
position to turn UN and you will hear
“V Mail Active". (See illustmtion 1)
To turn OFF your V Mail. press the
ON / OFF button into the out position.
(See illustration 2)
Note. Always tum OFF your V Mail
when not in use to conserve batteries.

V Mail is in the Start Menu before
beginning any new Record Message,
Play New or Saved Message, Select
Active PIN and Change Playback
Volume operation. The Start Menu is
identified when you hear “V Mail Aciive’.
® Indicates begins at the Start Menu.
®RECOHD MESSAGE: Hold the RECORD button and you will hear "Record
V Marl" then a beep sound to let you know to begin recording your 4 second
message. You will hear 2 beeps when v Mail is finished recording You will
now hear “Send v Mail to All". (See Send v Marl section)
LISTEN TO YOUR RECORDED MESSAGE: To listen to a message you just
recorded. press the PLAY button after hearing “Send V Mail to All“. You will men
hear the message you recorded followed by "Send v Mail to All" again. It you do
not like the message you recorded and want to record another message, wart
several seconds until you hear “V Mail Active ' and then press RECORD again.
NOTE: If you press the RECORD button and you hear "Send Active. Select to
Delete V Mail". this means that your V Mail is still trying to send a orevrous
recorded message. You cannot record and send another message until the
earlier message has either finished sending or is deleted
' If you want V Mail to continue trying to send this message ~ do not press any
buttons for several seconds until you hear "V Mail Active"
- If you want to delete the unsent message and record a new one - press the
RECORD button again and you will hear “Delete V Mail. Record V Mail"
followed by a beep sound to let you know your unseni message is deleted and
that you can begin recording your new message
SEND V Mail: There are two ways to send your recorded message.
1. SEND V Mail To ALL:
Alter you have recorded your V Mail message. you will hear "Send V Mail to All".
To send your V Mail message to all users in range, press the SEND button and
you will hear "V Mail Sent".
2. SEND V Mail TO A PIN NUMBER:
After you have recorded your V Mail message. you Will hear “Send V Malt Io All".
To send your private message to a users PIN number. press the MUUE button
after hearing “Send V Mail to All” and your wrll hear “Select PIN”.
A. Press the 3-digit PIN number you would like to send the message to.
B If your enter the PIN numbers too slowly or do not press 3 PIN numbers. you
will hear “Select PIN" again. (Go to Step A. above)
C. Afteryou have pressed 3 PIN numbers. you will hear "Send V Mail to PINI—JJ"
D. it this IS the PIN you would like to send this message to. press the SEND
button and you will hear "V Mail Sent".
E. If this is the incorrect PIN number, wail several seconds until you hear
“Select PIN" and go to step A. above.
NflTE: If you hear ‘l/ Mail Active" before "VMail Sent", you have exited
Record mode and the message you recorded has been earased and you must
re—record your message.

MESSAGE ALERT LIGHT:

you will hear ‘You‘ve Got V Mail" when you receive a new message.

messages To receive any new messages you must first delete at least 1 saved

go to sleep and the message alert light will stop llasni'ng. This sleeo lunctiorr
conserves VMai/s batteries When you press any button, I/Mall wrll wake up
and the message alert light will llash again to remind you of the new message
or toll mailbox.
©PLAV NEW MESSAGE: Whenever your message indicator light flashes slowly,
hold the PLAY button to listen to your new message. V Mail will automatically
assign it aV Mail mailbox number 1 through 4 by saying "New V Mail/l" and play
me new message. To listen to this message again. lollow the Play Saved Message
instructions I
®PLAV SAVED MESSAGE: You must listen to all new messages first before i

(See Send V Mail to a speedic PIN number section)
©CHANGE PLAVBACK VOLUME: Hold the MODE button to alternate between the
“Whisper” and 'Out Loud" playback volumes. V Mail will automatically return to
the Start Norm without saying “V Mail Active". In “Whisper" mode, place V Mails ‘
speaker next to your ear so only you can hear the private messages being played
back In 't]rtt Loud" mode, everyone near you can hear the messages played back. i
