When the unit ispowered up, the LED lights on the car will light up.Power Off: To turn the device off, simply press the “Play and Pause icon” ,hold for 2 seconds, and all lights willturn off.Pause Mode: If the play/pause button  is hit during play mode, the item will be put into “pause mode” and willauto shutdown after 70 seconds of non-use.Play: Press Play/Pause icon  .Pause: While file is playing, press Play/Pause icon  .Toggle Files Forward: Press  button and car headlights will blink.Toggle Files Backward: Press  button and car rear lights will blink.Fast Forward During Play: Press and hold  button, car headlights will blink.Fast Reverse During Play: Press and hold  button, car rear lights will blink.Adjust Volume: Press and hold  +or  –button during file playback.To successfully transfer music files to your MP3 player, please do the following:• Connect the MP3 Player to USB port on your computer.• Go to your “My Computer” folder, and you will find a new icon named “Removable Disk”, which represents theMP3 Player.• Add or delete files to this drive.Please do not unplug Car MP3 Player while data is transferring between the MP3 Player and the computer, or thetransferring data maybe lost. See “Ejecting MP3 Player From Computer” section for procedure to safelydisconnect the device.The players lights will continuously flash by default during file isplayback.Tostop the flashing lights during playback press the button on thebottom of the MP3 player.To turn the flashing lights back on, press the button again.Lights on/off buttonPlease note: This product may function abnormally if subjected to electrostatic or electromagnetic interference. PAGE 2EJECTING MP3 PLAYER FROM COMPUTERCOPYRIGHTSAFETYROAD SAFETYFORMAT MP3 PLAYERBATTERYPAGE 3TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDETO ESTABLISH A SAFE LISTENING LEVEL:Toavoid damage to your player or data loss, always follow the procedure listed below before disconnecting your playerfrom the USB port on your computer. Using your mouse, double click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on the task bar.From the "Safely Remove Hardware" window, select "USB Mass Storage Device" and click the "Stop" button. The "Stop aHardware Device" window will pop-up as shown: Click "OK". When the "Safe to Remove Hardware"window is displayed, you may remove the player from theUSB cable or remove the USB cable from the computer. If the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon is not displayedon the task bar,please double click on My Computer.Right click on “Removable Disk” and left click on“Eject”.  Then it is safe to remove the player from thecomputer.The “Safely Remove Hardware” procedure is notnecessary for Win98 and Win98SE users.Distributing copies of MP3, WMA with DRM tracks without permission is a violation of international copyright laws.• Vibration experienced during walking or exercising will not affect the player. However, dropping the player ordropping a heavy object on the player may result in damage or sound distortion.• Avoid spilling any liquid onto or into the player.• Do not leave the player in a location near heat sources; in a location subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust,sand, moisture, rain or mechanical shock; on an unlevel surface; or in a car with the windows closed duringperiods of excessive heat.Do not use headphones while driving, cycling or operating any motorized vehicle. It may create a traffic hazard and it isillegal in some areas. It can be potentially dangerous to play your headset at a high volume while walking, especially atpedestrian crossings. You should exercise extreme caution or discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.Warning: Do not format this player unless it has stopped working and you have attempted all options in theTroubleshooting guide.  In the unlikely event that you need to format your i-Rock & Roller MP3 Player, use the followingmethod:1.) Connect MP3 Player via USB cable.2.) Use the format function of Windows Operating System to format MP3 Player.3.) Select the format type as FAT and click OK to begin formatting.4.) When finished, click “Close” to close the format window.For optimal performance, please use a fresh AAA battery after removing the item from the package.  Pleaseremember that battery life may vary depending on type, playback volume and duration of playback sessions. • Always start your volume control at a low setting.• Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it comfortably and clearly, without distortion.• Once you have established a comfortable sound level, set the dial and don’t increase the volume.• During playback your hearing can slowly “adapt” to sound volume and you may be tempted to increase thevolume level.  Over time, what may seem like a “comfortable” sound level  may actually be harmful for yourhearing.  For that reason we ask you to set the sound level at the start of listening.•Please take a minute to follow this guideline.  It will prevent hearing damage or loss in the future.  After all, we want you listening for a lifetime. SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTIONUnit will not turn on. Battery power is low or empty. Replace with fresh battery.Battery is not installed correctly. Ensure the battery is installed correctly andthe battery compartment is securely closed.No sound. Earbuds are not plugged into player. Plug earbuds into player.Volume level is set to low. Raise the volume using the VOLUME Upbutton.Files are corrupt. Download uncorrupted files.No files on the player. Follow the instructions on Transferring files.Computer will notrecognize the player.The player is not securely connected. Check to ensure the USB cable is securelyconnected to both the computer and theplayer. If the problem persists, try restartingthe computer.Unable to successfullydownload files to player.USB cable not securely connected. Verify the USB cable is securely connectedto the computer and the player.Player memoryis full. Remove some of your previouslydownloaded files.Lights will not flash. Light switch is in the offposition. Follow the instructions to turnthe lightswitch to the on position.
