We hope you find this product to enhance the visibility and safety of your driving experience. The QuickVu Wireless Backup Camera from Open Road is designed for those of us who want the convenience and enhanced visibility of a backup camera, but don’t want to cut holes in the bumper or splice into our car’s electrical system. It’s for those of us who are buying a new car and would rather not pay thousands of dollars for a car backup camera that could be installed after purchase for a fraction of that cost. Installation Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. The QuickVu Wireless Backup Camera provides all of the video quality and usefulness of wired backup camera but without the headache of installation. To install the camera, first remove the bolts from the rear license plate. Place the camera over the license plate with the holes of the camera and license plate aligned with the car’s license plate mounting holes. Insert the bolts through the camera and license plate and engage with the car’s mounting holes and turn the bolts clockwise until tight. Hand tighten with nominal torque but do not over tighten. That’s it! The camera is installed. Install the Control module by finding a location on the dashboard of your vehicle where the module will not interfere visually with your driving and where the power cord that plugs into the back of the module can easily reach your car’s accessory receptacle (cigarette lighter). Attach the module to the dashboard using supplied double sided sticky tape. If you purchased a monitor with the camera system, connect the monitor to the camera according to the diagram shown in Figure 1. Determine a location for the monitor near the Control module and attach the monitor to the dashboard of your vehicle using double sided sticky tape.
