With more than 12 years of development and over 25 patents, the Trane 3-D® Scroll compressors have 70% fewer parts than an equal capacity reciprocating compressor. The single orbiting scroll eliminates the need for pistons, connecting rods, wrist pins and valves; fewer parts result in a longer, more reliable operating life.
