Together with your installer, youcan decide which functions you wish to haveaccessible from your portable key.To activate any one of the four selected functions,press and hold the appropriate button for twoseconds. Your installer will indicate each functionby applying a circular label on the rear of the unitor by installing pre-printed buttons.Signals will not be received if the key is not within the rangeof the wireless receiver.The default functions are as follows:Stay ArmingPress this button to arm your system in the Stay mode. All perimeter zones will bearmed, such as all window and door contacts, but the interior zones will remaininactive, allowing you to stay on the premises without setting off an alarm.Away ArmingPress this button to arm your system in the Away mode. Both the interior and exteriorzones will be armed, allowing you to exit the premises.DisarmPress this button to disarm your system. You do not have to enter your access codewhen you use the key to disarm the system.PanicPress this button to notify your central monitoring station of a situation requiring thepolice, such as a break-in.Other available functions (to be programmed by the installer):Fire - notifies your central monitoring station of a fire condition.Auxiliary - notifies your monitoring station of a non-medical emergency.No Entry Delay Arming - arms the system with no entry delay on delay zones.Chime ON/OFF - turns the door chime feature ON and OFF.System Test - activates the Bell, Keypad LEDs and communications test for 2 seconds.Command Outputs 1, 3, 4 - opens garage door, turns on lights, etc.Command Output 2 - resets smoke detector.Quick Exit - allows 2 minutes to exit the premises while the system is armed, withoutsounding the alarm.Reactivate Stay/Aways - activates the Stay/Away zones, if system is armed in Stay Mode.Please discuss all WLS929 options with your installer in order to program thebest possible combination to suit your needs.Testing the WLS929 KeyWhen any key is pressed on the WLS929 to perform a function, its battery status is sent tothe receiver. If the batteries are low, the Trouble light on any of your system’s keypads willturn ON. If the Trouble light turns ON, the key’s batteries must be replaced.NOTE: Do not use a Fire, Auxiliary or Panic key to test your WLS929 unit as pressingthese buttons will always notify your monitoring station of a non-medical emergency.To replace the batteries, open the key’s plastic casing. Toremove the casing, take a flathead screwdriver and insert itinto the slot at the wide end of the plastic. Carefully twist thescrewdriver to separate the top and bottom casing.Remove the old batteries from between the two metal clips.Insert the new batteries according to the diagram at rightand reattach the key’s plastic casing. The WLS929 requiresthree batteries of type LR44.NOTE: The polarity of the batteries must be observed.TM–+LIMITED WARRANTYDigital Security Controls Ltd. warrants that for a period of twelve months from the date of purchase, the product shallbe free of defect in materials and workmanship under normal use and that in fulfilment of any breach of such warranty,Digital Security Controls Ltd. shall, at its option, repair or replace the defective equipment upon return of the equipmentto its repair depot. This warranty applies only to defects in parts and workmanship and not to damage incurred inshipping or handling, or damage due to causes beyond the control of Digital Security Controls Ltd. such as lightning,excessive voltage, mechanical shock, water damage, or damage arising out of abuse, alteration or improper applica-tion of the equipment.The foregoing warranty shall apply only to the original buyer, and is and shall be in lieu of any and all other warranties,whether expressed or implied and of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of Digital Security Controls Ltd. Thiswarranty contains the entire warranty.
