output power as well as SWR.
0 RF GAH‘J control —— Provides optimum receiving capability.
- Adjustable MIC GAIN control.
0 DELTA TUNE — Enhances receiver operations. Also can be used to help
minimize adjacent channel interference.
- Public Address System capability
Weather Channel monitoring.

Volume Control —Tum VOLUME clockwise to turn the radio on. Use VOLUME to
adjust the volume level of the audio.
Squelch Control — Adjust SQUELCH to eliminate background noise during the 3/0
absence of a signal. Turn the control fully counterclockwise then slowly rotate it
back clockwise until all noise disappears. At this setting any signal must be
slightly stronger man the background noise to “break squelch" and be heard.
Further clockwise rotation increases the threshold level below which weak signals
are not heard. At the maximum clockwise setting, only the strong signals can
”break squelch" and be heard.
Mike Gain Control —- Use MIC GAIN to adjust the microphone gain during
transmitting At the maximum setting. you have full talk power during transmitting
while holding the microphone at a comfortable distance. In the PA (Public
Address) mode, this control adjusts the output volume of the PA speaker.
RF Gain" ' ,—-To adjust RF GAIN, turn
the RF GAIN knob 4A clockwise to the ‘MAX' position.
Turn counterclockwise to reduce incoming signal gain
