The irequency ynur irarismmsr operates on is clearly marked on its back (controller). The 27 MHZ [49 MHZ frequency is divided into one oi three bands: Red, Orange or Green. The vehicle induded runs on the same irequency as the transmitter, and can run on all three bands- Red, Orange and Green Matching the lransm'mer and car irequency and band is simple and mandalcry (or proper operallun. Locate the antenna wire that is fixed to the receiver. Straighten the wire, men insert the end at it into one end of the antenna tuber Push the wire all the way through, It may extend through the length of the cube, Do not cut the wire, as its length istuned to me frequency. Insert the base of the tube into the molded post on me chassis. HDId the antenna tube at the bottom DI the tube. DD not push from the top Feed the antenna Wire into the slot provided on lha post. Gently secure the lube into the pasL Fold any remaining wire over the tube and secure the wire and/of cap the tube wlth the antenna tip. The wive may not extend past the lube. Always fully extend the antenna an the transmittet and face the antenna on me tJansmtttsr straight up tar best performance. Your vehicle runs on either 27 Mhl or 49 Mhz as was preset at the factory. You cannot change the frequency. Your car also runs on one cl three bands trial you can change. and allows you to race three cars with the same frequency at once without one interfering warn the others. You can race against any vehicle that is running on a different frequency irom yours without concern ror interference. To change the bend and prepare (or battery installation, gentty lrlr up and out on the top edge of the battery covers in remove tram the chassis. 16 it is difficult to remove the battery cover, you may want to use a small tlat head screwdriver (not included) to gently m1 and push out the battery cover. Locate the 3-Bflnd switch that is heated in the right hand side battery box in me lower right hand corner. This switch has three pnsitions.’ Red, Green and Orange. Your transmitter default band is redr Your car is also preset on me red band. If you are planning in be racing against other cars, you may want to select another band now or seiecl an alternate band at a later time. To change bands. use the small Philips head screw driver included and slide the switch to the rlgllt. The middle stop is the green bend and the right stop is the orange band. The default band is red located on the ierl stop. You wrll match the transmitter cam: la the car band later when you time your vehicle. ill; ._ 60 The tour AAA batteries provided are alkaline batteries and will have a very limited life. They are provided to get you up and running. You will need to replace the patella very soon. We suggest you replace with lourAAA rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride batteries (NlMH) available at yuur lucai hobby dealer. You must use a recnsrgrng uriil designed lur recharging NiMH batteries, Follow the manufacturers directions for use and charging. Insert two AAA batteries intu one of the two battery compartments being careful to inset! in the correct orientation according the polarity marked inside (+ and -). Replace the battery cover by placing one side over the raised holder and pushing in gently an the other sine. The battery cover will snap mm place. Repeat steps above to insert batteries in the second battery compartment replace the batteries. - Use only lresrr batteries of are required size and type. ' Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries (standard. alheiine or rechargeable) or rechargeable batteries 0! different types (Nlcd or NIMH) or dillerenr capacities. r if you are not planning to use your vehicle tor several days, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak and damage your vehicle, v Dispose at batteries properly, Do not burn or bury harem. 14 Guide the antenna through the antenna hole in the car body. Set the car body over the {cm posts on lhe chassis. Using me four body pins provided, slide one into me hole on each of me tour posts, The decals are primed on sen-adheswe label slack. Genny remove the labels from the backing and plaue one edge in the proper position on lhe cav body, Gemly smooih the decal down with your finger. This pmcess of smoommg from one side to the other will prevem air bubbles under Ihe label. Place the chassis on a list service on its four wheels. Now hold one wheel so it does not turn, and, using the Philips head screwdriver provided, gently turn the screw located in the center otlhe wheel clockwise to tighten. This should be done slowly and gently —-DO NOT FORCE. Gently turn the screw clockwise until It stops turning. There is no need to overturn. Once the screw stops turning remove the screwdriver. Your wheel is now properly secured. Repeat this process on the other three wheels. Turn the Transmitter ont Fully extend the antennae. Recall the band you selected for your car (Red, Green or Orange), On the backside of your transmitter notice the LED color. The LED should be red. it you did not change your can bend lrom the preset red. then your transmitter and car are both set on red and should perform properly. If you changed your car band to either Green or Orange you need to match that color on your transmittal: To switch the transmitter band to green. press the button once. To set to orange. press it twice. The coloror the LED will change accordingly. You can press it one more time to return to the red band. Hold your car ill one hand and move the on/ott switch located on the bottom 0! your Car lo the on position. immediately confirm the LED color on the car matches the oolor you selected on your transmitter. ll they do not match, press the button on the back or the transmitter until the LED color matches that on the car. You must confirm that your car and transmitter are on the same color for your car to pcrtorm properly Set your car on a block to lift the wheels of the surface or securely hold in one hand. Always turn the transmitter on prior to turning on you vehicle. Your vehicle could be controlled by outside transmissions it your transmitter is not on. Adjust the throttle trim by turning the throttle trim knob clodnwise until the wheels are moving Once the wheels start to move turn the throttle trim knob counter cladtwise slowly until the wheels stop and the car is making no sounds. Yourlhroule trim is new property set. Repeat this adjustment each time you run your car, Adjust the steering trim by looking down at the front wheels and turning your steering trim clockwise or counter clockwise to set the iront wheels in the neutral position. You may want to make last minute adjustments to me steering trim when you start to run your vehicle. . Check your thmme oy moving the throttle trigger lonlvard and confirm the vehicle wheels move forward. Move the throttle trim backward to conlirm the vehicle wheels move in reverse. Release the throttle trim to confirm the wheels stop moving in the neutral position. Check your steering oy turning the steering wheel clockwise and counter clockwise and confirming the from wheels resound propedy. Adjust the Acceleration Speed Control by selecting level 1 for slow start level 2 for faster start and level 3 lor lastest start. Changing the starting speed will not orient the top end speed-wit simply adlusls the speed at which your vehicle accelerates Using level 1 adjustment will make it easier to control your car as a new driver or in confined racing areas. Adjust the Turning Radius of your vehicle, Your turning radius can be adjusted for wide turning or tight turning radiuses. Move the Turning minus knob to the left to make wider turns and to me right to make fighter turns. This ooiuslment allows a new driver to handle the vehicle more easily in the wider tum setting and experienced drivers to make tighter turns when set in the lighter radius setting. Because your vehicle is controlled by radio trequenql, it is subject to interference irom outside sources including electric wires. adiaoent building and other radio transmitters in the area This interference can attecl the distance or range your transmitter will effectively control the vehicle. You have completed all the preparation and pro—run routine required before running your vehicle, But one last project is requiredmyou should range test your vehicle before each run session. Turn on your tmrlsmltter first. This will insure your car is not conlrcllecl uy stray signals from simmer transmitter in the area. Fully extend the transmitter antennae. Hold the vehicle in your hand making certain you are not holding the wheels, Turn on the vehicle. Confirm that your vehicle is responding to your transmitter only If there are other transmitters in the area you want to assure you are on diilerent frequencies and or bands. Place the car on the ground and slowly drive it out to the lanhest point you plan lo operate the vehicle. As you do this you can make last minute adjustmene to the steering trim if necessary. it you find your vehicle stops or cannot be controlled as it moves farther aw. you will hare to limit the mnge you plan to run your vehicle. Once you have determined the range at which you can control your vehicle, you can establish the area in which you can safely run it. You are now ready to run your vehicle more aggressively. Have fun, but remember that your vehicle travels quickly and turns quickly, Your driving $le must be developed 10 properly control the vehicle at high speed. Start out at slow speeds to assure you do not damage your vehicle. During and after operaiion, the motor and batteries will be hot. Do not touch them until they have cooled down. 22 Your vehicle came with a preinstalled pinion gear. This (10 toolh) gear is designed for all surface running. ll you want more top and speed and can accept sloweracceleration am: you are planning to run on hard, smoolh surfaces, you may want to install the included larger pinion gear (ll loom). Follow the diagram below to remove the motor lrom your vehicle and insmll the larger pinion Radllne RC offers a variety of after market optional performance parts that allow you to iurthertune your vehicle. You may want to purchase the Redline HC Performance parls ior your vehicle Racing Motor-Pack: This pack includes three slack motors, each with different RPM and Torque ratings and a variety or pinion gears. This Three-Molor-Peck will give you a variety of speed and torque options to assure lop performance in all racing condilions. , Modified Motor: There are two difierenl types Ol after market molars lhal can be purchased for your vehicle. There are slack motors with a variety of ratings available, including the stock motors included in the Racing Motor Pack mentioned above, There are also Modified Motors that feature ball bearings and come in a variety of wire thicknesses and number of turns of wire on the armaluret The iewer turns, the more powerful the motor. Our Radline RC Modified Motor will give you more power than any of (he motors included in the Racing Pack.
