Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the
equipment.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment
generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off
and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
-- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
-- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
-- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
-- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions (1)this device may not cause
harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired
operation
GMRS system licensed to a telephone answering service must not transmit any communications to customers of the telephone answeri
ng service
An individual who is licensed in the GMRS (other than an employee of that individual) may communicate two-way voice messa
ges concerning the licensee's personal or business activities
GMRS system may communicate a selective calling tone or tone operated squelch only in conjunction with a voice communicat
ion. If the tone is subaudible (300 Hertz or less) it may be communicated during the entire voice message. If the tone is audi
ble (more than 300 Hertz) it may be communicated for no more than 15 seconds at a time
The FRS unit may transmit tones to make contact or to continue communications with a particular FRS unit. If the tone is aud
ible (more than 300 Hertz), it must be transmitted continuously no longer than 15 seconds at one time. If the tone is subaudib
le (300 Hertz or less), it may be transmitted continuously only while you are talking.
This two-way radio operates on GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) frequencies which require an FCC (Federal Communica

se the GMRS channels of this radio. Serious penalties could result for unlicensed use of GMRS channels, in violation of FCC
rules. Operation of this radio is subject to additional rules specified in 47 C.F.R. Part 95.
Licensed users will be issued a call sign by the FCC, which should be used for station identification when operating this radio.
GMRS users should also cooperate by engaging in permissible transmissions only, avoiding channel interference with other GM
RS users, and being prudent with the length of their transmission time.
For licensing information and application forms, please call the FCC Hotline at 800-418-FORM. Request form #159 and form #
605. Questions regarding the license application should be directed to the FCC at 888-CALL-FCC. Additional information is ava
ilable on the FCC’s website at www.fcc.gov.
Channel 1 through 7 on low power and channels 15 through 22 comprise the FRS (Family Radio Service). No license is requi
red to operate on the FRS.
Your wireless handheld portable transceiver contains a low power transmitter. When the talk button is pushed, it sends out radi
o frequency (RF) signals. The device is authorized to operate at a duty factor not to exceed 50%. In August 1996, the Federa
l Communications Commissions (FCC) adopted RF exposure guidelines with safety levels for handheld wireless devices.
FCC RF Exposure Requirements: For body-worn operation, this radio has been tested and meets the FCC RF exposure guideli
nes when used with Cobra accessories supplied or designated for this product. Use of other accessories may not ensure com
pliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines. Use only the supplied antenna. Unauthorized antennas, modifications or attachments
could damage the transmitter and may violate FCC regulations.
Hold the transmitter approximately 2 inches from your face and speak in a normal voice, with the antenna pointed up and
away.
