The filter prevents noise and caller ID problems caused by DSL Interference. The included cordless handset has been assigned extension number 1. The system supports a maximum of tour exter- nal lines, which are provided by your local telephone service provider. You can expand the system by adding up to nine cordless handsets (AT&T model 5867108), or a combination of cordless handsets and one cordless headset (ATE-T model TL7600/TL7610/TL7611). The system automatically assigns an extension number to each handset 0mm 1. If you have more than one phone line. and single-line phone jacks, you must purchase two-line adapters (modelxxx, part numberXXXX). 2. If you have two or three phone lines. you will need one two-line adapter for each phone if you have four phone lines, you will need two two-line adapters for each phone. 3‘ If you have one»line phone jacks, and four phone lines, you will also need to purchase two short telephone line cords (modelXXXX part number XXXX).
