Immobilizer system user guide Type designation : A04IAA Trade Mark : Valeo Car Manufacturer : Honda Operation Immobilizer function : When the user insert the key, the immobilizer checks the key and, if it is valid, allows the Engine Control Unit to start of the engine. If someone attempts to start the engine with an unrecognised key, the immobilizer will not allow to start the engine. In any case the immobilizer can stop the engine Receiver function: The receiver recognize a button press on a remote control, checks if it is valid and transmit the command of door lock/unlock, trunk, windows and sliding doors controls Note The keys carry a unique electronic code. For this reason and to ensure your safety, replacement keys are only possible through an authorised Honda dealer. Always keep a replacement key in case one is lost. If a key is lost contact an authorised Honda dealer as soon as possible Maintenance Honda cannot guarantee the system’s operation if the system has been modified or if any added on equipment has been installed to it.
