VTB-100 user manual Dear Customer, CONGRATULATIONS, The Bluetooth Rear View Mirror Hands-free Car Kit, when used as described, will give you years of dependable service in your car, truck, RV or minivan. We have taken numerous measures in quality control to ensure that your product arrives in top condition, and will perform to your satsfaction. Before You Start SAFETY FIRST! Completely read and understand all the instructions in this manual before using the Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit while operating a motor vehicle. All wireless devices are susceptible to interference or may cause interference, which could affect usability. If you are in an area where cell phone use in prohibited, or if it cause any interference of danger, switch your cell phone and Bluetooth car kit over to OFF mode. When using your cell phone with this unit if shall be secured at all times. When re-fueling always switch off your cell phone and Bluetooth car kit. Do not use near any fuel or chemicals. When pairing to any other device, read and follow all instructions and safety guidelines provided by the manufacturer of the device. Do no pair with incompatible devices. Storing temperate: -20℃~70 ℃ Charging the Bluetooth Car Kit The Blue tooth Car Kit is powered by a re-chargeable, replaceable li-ion battery. A new Li-ion battery’s optimum performance is only achieved after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles. A rechargeable Li-ion battery can be charged and discharge hundreds of times, eventually it will wear out. When the operating time is noticeably shorter than normal, it is time to buy a new battery. The Car Kit will produce “Do. .Do” alarm sound when the battery is running low. And “LO” on the LCM will confirm it.And “Charging” will be displayed on the LCM when charging. Plug the charger commutator to the USB jark Plug the other port of the charger to the 12V car ciggarette lighter or the computer USB port “Charging”on the LCM shows charging “Finished”on the LCM shows complete charging Turning Your Bluetooth Car Kit On And Off ;Move the ON/OFF Switch to the left The device will light up the Caller ID Display, and you will hear a start-up tone To turn the device OFF, move the ON/OFF Switch to the right. Operation Your Bluetooth Car Kit is equipped with the following buttons and functions as shown in the Controls section of this manual ON/OF SWITCH: Turns the device ON/OFF. To conserve battery power when not in use, turn the Blue Tooth Car Kit OFF. UP & DOWN BUTTON: These buttons access your cell phone’s call received log EARPIECE---FM EARPIECE: Use this for privacy during a call. Once in use the internal Speaker and Car Speaker will be muted. Use the ON/OFF switch to turn the earpiece ON for private conversation and OFF for power saving. MICROPHONE: The Blue Tooth Car Kit is equipped with an internal Full Duplex System Microphone. DSP Technology, Noise and Echo suppression system. CALLER ID: Call ID supports up to 12 digits, Displays both incoming call’s phone number and the english name and Device Status Messages. USB PORT: This port is for software upgrades and charge Pairing Your Bluetooth Car Kit Prior to using your Bluetooth Car Kit for the first time you must pair it with a Bluetooth enabled cell phone. The pairing procedure is different between models of cell phone. Please refer to the user manual of your cell phone for specific details on Bluetooth connectivity. Turn on the Bluetooth Car Kit, and in“Stand-By-Mode”. Activate your cell phone’s Bluetooth function. Refer to the cell phone’s User Guide for instructions on Bluetooth. Select“HF100”from the list on the cell phone Pair the device。 Enter the Passcode“0000”to confirm the pairing process. Pairing is now complete, and the Blue LED will be lit and “Paired” and “Connected” will confirm it. 。 NOTE: If the cell phone’s and/or the Bluetooth Car Kit’s Battery weak, you may lose the Bluetooth connection .Maintain the charge of the batteries to ensure good Bluetooth connectivity. Answering a Call When there is an Incoming Call you will hear your cell phone’s Ring Tone through the Bluetooth Car Kit Speaker, The Caller ID display shows either the number of the calling person or CALL. Ending a Call Press the Multi-Function Button once, or END the call via your mobile phone in the normal way. Rejecting a Call To reject an incoming call press the Multi-Function Button twice. The Blue LED is ON or blinking and the Caller ID will show [REJECT]. Voice Dialing (ONLY WORKS WITH CELL PHONE EQUIPPED WITH VOICE DIALING) To make a call using the Voice Dialing function Button. The Caller ID shows [VOICE DIRL].Say the Voice Tag clearly and the call will be made. Call Waiting When a call is active and a second cal comes through, a call alert will be heard (usually just few beeps). Press and Hold the Multi-Function Button. The Call ID Display shows the phone number of the incoming call. The first call will be on hold and you can talk to the second caller. Hold on the Multi-Function Button to switch the two call To terminate one of the two calls, select the caller and Press the Multi-Function Button once only. Last Number Redial To Redial the last dialed number press twice quickly the Multi-Function Button, The Caller ID shows [REDIRL] Earpiece ——FM Transmitter To begin a conversation with the Earpiece 1. . Remove the earpiece from the unit. 2. Turn it ON, the red LED will come on 3. Place the earpieces’s speaker in your ear. The Caller ID shows [EAR]. 4. Turn the Earpiece OFF to save battery power. Note: The data and the frequency received by the Car Kit control the echo and noise by the FM1182 DSP. Then enlarge and output to the speaker by the EUP 4890 or transmit to the FM MODUTE(107.9 MHz) and receive modulate and enlarge by the earpiece(107.9 MHz) . Dialing from your Cell Phone While paired with your Bluetooth Car Kit, you can make and receive calls directly from your cell phone with Bluetooth function. Switching Calls between your Bluetooth Car Kit and the Cell Phone Handset The functions of access and delete your call phone’s number 1. Delete some of the numbers: search numbers which you want to delete in the phone book, press “up”button and“down”button at the same time, you can delete numbers what you want to delete NOTE: Press“up”button to search The last in coming phone number; Press“down” Button to search More about 200groups number in phone book from Mirror; The longest telephone number in the telephone directory is 14bit,and the longest telephone number in the mirror is 12 bit. Care And Maintenance Turn your Bluetooth Car Kit off when not in use to extend the battery’s life. Do not expose your device to liquid, moisture or humidity as it is not waterproof. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents to clean the device. Do not expose the device to extremely high or low temperatures. Do not dispose the device, or its battery pack in a fire as it will result in a explosion. Do not disassemble the device as it does not contain serviceable components If you do not use the Bluetooth Car Kit for long periods, store it in a cool, dry place, free from extreme temperatures and dust or dirt. SAFETY INFORMATION 1Check local hands-free laws regarding use of a cell phone and Bluetooth Car Kit while driving. 2. If you use the Bluetooth Car Kit while driving, remain focused on driving and drive in a responsible and safe manner. 3.The Bluetooth Car Kit is not a toy, keep away from children. Small parts may be a chocking hazard. 4.Observe all signs that require an electrical device or RF Radio to be switched OFF in designated areas. These could include hospitals, blasting areas and potentially explosive atmospheres 5.Your Bluetooth Car Kit must never be mounted of stored over airbag deployment area, as serious injury may result when an airbag deploys. Troubleshooting If you are unable to connect you Bluetooth Car Kit to the cell phone please check and try the following: 1.Ensure the Bluetooth Car Kit is switched ON. 2. Ensure both your Bluetooth Car Kit and cell phone have enough battery power to pair successfully. 3. Ensure the Bluetooth Car Kit is paired with your cell phone. (Please refer to your cell phone’s user guide for specific instructions for pairing) 4.Ensure the device is within a maximum of 10meters of the mobile phone and there is no obstructions, such as walls or other electronic devices in between. If pairing operations fail: 1. Delete the item from the paired list on your cell phone Reset both the cell phone and the Bluetooth Car Kit device by powering them off and back on. 2. Re-pair the two devices 3. Turn off the cell phone and separate the battery from it for approximately five seconds .Repeat the pairing process. Note: In some instances, this action clears up any potential bugs built up in the cell phone software that can hinder proper pairing. If you have connected to your Bluetooth Car Kit to the cell phone, but do not hear anything 1. Ensure the volume control is on 2. Ensure that the earpiece is seated properly into the Bluetooth Car Kit. 3. Check the radio signal strength indicator in your mobile phone, as you may be outside the service area. 4. Your current location may not provide good call quality. Move to a location where radio signal strength is greater and less interference. 5. Magnetized objects such as health necklaces placed near the Bluetooth Car Kit or your mobile phone may terminate the call. Keep away from such objects. If the Caller ID does no show properly: Bluetooth Car Kit supports 12 digits Caller ID. For longer phone numbers, the Caller ID will show the latter part of the number. Some telecom service providers do not support Caller ID, especially international calls. In this case, the Caller ID will not show on your mobile phone. Note: Please note that it is possible that the Bluetooth Car Kit buttons might not operate according to the instructions this user guide if your cell phone has an unusual wireless interface. In this case, please reset both the Bluetooth car kit and cell phone. Your Bluetooth Car Kit is compliant with, and adopts to the Bluetooth specification 2.0.Compatibility between the Bluetooth Car Kit and other Bluetooth enabled devices is not guaranteed. Compatibility depends on the devices used. For specific Information on the compatibility between the Bluetooth Car Kit with other Bluetooth enable products, please check with manufacturer.
