Pairing Instructions
Headset and Transmitter
The headset and transmitter should be pre‐paired out of the box. The instructions below are only
necessary if pre‐pairing appears to have been lost.
1. Headset should be powered OFF
2. Press and hold Pairing button on the transmitter until the LED Flashes

3. Press and hold Power button on the headset until the LED flashes

Using your Tango Headset on PS3 (Use this header on related pages in the layout)
Your Turtle Beach Tango headphones are designed to work on PS3 Game Consoles (Versions?). In order
to get ideal functionality from your headphones, follow the directions below.
PS3 Bluetooth Configuration
1. Go to PS3 Settings (We should include screen captures for these)
• Choose “Accessory Settings” (screen captures)
• Choose “Manage Bluetooth Devices” (Tango Bluetooth OFF)
2. Scan for Bluetooth Devices (screen captures)
3. Power Tango ON:
a. Press and Hold Bluetooth Button until LED flashes blue and red.
Press and Hold
b. Select “Turtle Beach Tango.”
c. When prompted for a passcode, enter, “0000.” LED will flash blue once
per second
d. You are now paired with PS3.
PS3 Output Settings
1. Go to Settings (We should include screen captures for these)
• Choose “Sound Settings” (screen captures)
o Choose “Audio Output Settings” (Tango Bluetooth OFF)
i. Choose “Optical Digital”
1. Choose “Dolby Digital 5.1 Ch.”
2. Go to Settings (We should include screen captures for these)
• Choose “Sound Settings” (screen captures)
o Choose “Audio Multi‐Output” (Tango Bluetooth OFF)
i. Adjust PSN chat volume using Bluetooth Volume button
on the right ear cup.
PS3 Microphone Settings
1. Go to PS3 Settings (We should include screen captures for these)
• Choose “Accessory Settings” (screen captures)
• Choose “Input/Output Device” (Tango Bluetooth OFF)
• Choose “Turtle Beach Tango”
2. Adjust microphone volume level
Using your Tango Headset on XBOX 360 (Use this header on related pages in the layout)
Your Turtle Beach Tango headphones are designed to work on XBOX 360 Game Consoles (Versions?). In
order to get ideal functionality from your headphones, follow the directions below.
XBOX Wireless Settings
1. Turn on XBOX 360 Controller (Need Line Art for this) and plug in the XBA (turned
off) to the headset jack.
2. Press and hold XBA button for four (4) seconds until the LED begins to blink.
3. You are now in Pairing mode.
4. Press and hold Bluetooth MFB for five (5) seconds. LED will change from Blue to
Red.
5. Release the button. Voice prompt “Bluetooth Paired.”
• Choose “Sound Settings” (screen captures)
o Choose “Audio Output Settings” (Tango Bluetooth OFF)
i. Choose “Optical Digital”
1. Choose “Dolby Digital 5.1 Ch.”
XBOX Configuration
1. Go to XBOX Settings.
a. Choose “Audio”
i. Choose “Accessory Settings.”
ii. Choose “Audio Device Settings.”
iii. Set “Digital Output” to “Dolby Digital 5.1.”
2. Go back to XBOX Settings
a. Choose “Preferences.”
i. Choose “Voice.”
ii. Under “Voice Output,” choose “Play Through Headset.”
Bluetooth Settings (Use this header on related pages in the layout)
Pairing (Bluetooth) with a phone
1. Turn Headset ON
2. Press and hold Bluetooth Button until LED flashes Blue and Red
3. Set mobile phone to Bluetooth search mode*
4. Choose “Turtle Beach Tango”
5. When prompted for a passcode, enter “0000.”
* Each phone will differ. Refer to the user’s guide for your phone.
Dual Bluetooth Pairing
Turtle Beach Tango headphones can pair with two devices at once. This feature allows on‐
line chatting with other gamers and the ability to instantly switch to phone calls. Follow the
instructions below for dual Bluetooth pairing.
1. Turn Headset OFF
2. Press and hold Bluetooth Button until LED flashes Blue and Red
3. Set device to Bluetooth search mode*
4. Choose “Turtle Beach Tango”
5. When prompted for a passcode, enter “0000.”
* Each device will differ. Refer to the user’s guide for your device.
Surround Sound Settings
Turtle Beach Tango headphones have a surround sound feature bringing additional realism
to your gaming experience.
1. Press SURROUND ON/OFF to turn ON the surround sound function.
2. Press the SURROUND ANGLES button on the transmitter to scroll through
six (6) different presets.
3. The LED will blink in sequence to indicate which preset was selected.
Recharging
Turtle Beach Headphones feature a rechargeable battery enabling continuous gaming for up to ten
(10) hours. When the headset battery charge is low, a tone will sound every ten (10) seconds. The
headphones can be charged without interrupting game‐play using the included headset charging
cable.

authority to operate this equipment. Please contact Turtle Beach for a list of approved 2.4 GHz and 5.0
GHz antennas.
Deployment Statement
This product is certified for indoor deployment only in the 5150 – 5250 MHz band. Do not install or use
this product outdoors in that frequency band in the United States.
