User Manual for Everview – VP130, VP130ET, VP130NFC, VP140, VP160 March 2017
Overview This User Manual is for six (6) Vypin Asset Tracking Devices, Model Numbers: VP130, VP130ET, VP130NFC, VP140, VP160, and VP165. Each is a dual frequency, Bluetooth LE device containing a receiver operating within a bandwidth of 902 MHz to 928 MHz. All six units are powered by an internal battery. Customers can purchase each tag via email (sales@vypin.com or info@vypin.com), directly through the company website (www.vypin.com), or through a sales representative. Picture of VP130: Note: Model numbers VP130ET, VP130NFC, and VP140 all have the same casing as VP130. Picture of VP160: Note: Model number VP165 has the same casing as VP160. Industries / Applications VP130 – IP67 case used for asset tracking. VP130ET – IP67 case used for asset tracking at -20 to 85C. VP130NFC – IP67 case used for asset tracking. VP140 -IP67 case used for asset tracking. VP160 – vented case to monitor temperature. VP165 – vented case to monitor temperature and humidity.
Customer Benefits  VP130 – provides customers of near real-time inventory, increased security, visibility of asset utilization, and operational intelligence. Dust proof and water proof up to one meter, perfect for outside use and harsh environments.  VP130-ET (extended temperature) – (-20 to 85C) stores up to 11 days of samples at 10 minutes per sample. Dust proof and water proof up to one meter, perfect for outside use and harsh environments.  VP130NFC – provides customers of near real-time inventory, increased security, visibility of asset utilization, operational intelligence, and NFC. Dust proof and water proof up to one meter, perfect for outside use and harsh environments.  VP140 -provides customers of near real-time inventory, increased security, visibility of asset utilization, and operational intelligence. Dust proof and water proof up to one meter, perfect for outside use and harsh environments. Provides critical replenishment in supply chain management.  VP160 – provides customers of near real-time inventory, increased security, visibility of asset utilization, critical temperature readings, and operational intelligence.  VP165 -provides customers of near real-time inventory, increased security, visibility of asset utilization, critical temperature readings, humidity, and operational intelligence. Tracking of Tags Vypin tags are tracked using the Vypin application on the following devices: (iOS – 9.3 or newer), (Android – 4.4 or newer). Installation Process Customers should download the Vypin Overpass Mobile App using the instructions available within the Knowledge Center on the company website (www.vypin.com). Each tag can be placed on a customer’s asset without intruding on the external side of the container / asset. Following are the steps to install the tag on the asset: VP130 – adhesive. VP130ET – adhesive. VP130NFC – adhesive. VP140 – magnet. VP160 – zip tie. VP165 – zip tie. Sync Tags with Vypin Applications  There is no special sync needed. The Vypin OverPass Mobile App will need to have gateway mode turned on, once activated the gateway will provide tag info to the cloud. The following steps should be used to turn on gateway mode on the Vypin OverPass Mobile App: (1) Open the App, (2) Press the setting button, (3) Tap the toggle next to Gateway Mode to turn it on. Once done, the Vypin OverPass Mobile app will start to provide tag info to the cloud via the mobile internet connection. FCC ID: 2ALIWVP130 IC: 23227-VP130
