7While Using MonitorDo not open cover (or back) becausehigh voltage is present within themonitor’s enclosure.It may cause electric shock. Never push any kind of objects intothis product through openings at theback of monitor.It may cause fire or electric shock.No objects filled with liquids, such asvases, shall be placed on the monitor.Spilled liquids may cause electric shock orfire.Do not allow children to play or hangon the monitor. These actions may tip it over, causingpersonal injury.Do not place candle or lightedcigarette on the monitor.If these fall into the inside of the monitor, itmay cause fire or explosion.Do not disassemble batteries, anddo not allow children to swallowthem.Heavy metal may contaminate environment,and can be harmful or detrimental to humanhealth. (When children swallow the batteries,go to hospital and consult with a doctor.)Batteries could explode if aligned incorrectly.Align the batteries according to the (+) and (-)indication inside the case.Do not spray water to the monitor orwipe with damp cloth.It may cause electric shock or fire.Unplug the monitor from the walloutlet when smoke or strange smelloccurs, then refer servicing to aservice personnel.In the case of continuous use, it may causefire or electric shock.

99During UseDo not wipe the monitor using acloth damped with chemicals(benzene, thinner, etc.).Monitor appearance may be marred.(Unplug the power plug and wipe with softcloth.)Do not place any object or cover onthe monitor.In an event of improper ventilation, themonitor will be overheated causing fire.Do not place heavy objects or heatsources on the power cord. It may damage the power cord, causing fireor electric shock.When watching the TV, the distancebetween the Monitor screen andyour eye should be as 5~7 times asthe diagonal distance of the Monitor.Watching the TV for a long time may hurtyour eye sight.When cleaning of the inside of themonitor is required, consult to thequalified service personnel.When the monitor is not cleaned for a longperiod of time, dust in it may cause fire ormalfunction.When the monitor is placed on a cartor table, the front side of the Monitorshould not project outward.Unbalance may cause the monitor to drop,resulting in personal injury or equipmentmalfunction and damage.Do not grip speakers when movingthe monitor attached with speakers.When moving the monitor while grippingspeakers, speakers may be fallen awayfrom the monitor due to its weight, causingpersonal injury.Do not allow a still picture to bedisplayed for an extended period, asthis can cause a permanent ghostimage to remain on the Wide PlasmaDisplay.Examples of still pictures include logos,video games, computer images, teletextand images displayed in 4:3 mode.Warranty does not cover any damagecaused by image retention.The plasma display panel consistsof fine cells. Although the panels areproduced with more than 99.9percent active cells, there may besome cells that do not produce lightor remain lit.
