It is normally held in the left or right hand of the operator as shown to the right. Operation Turn the unit on or off: Press the ON/OFF switch located to the left of display screen or press the blue ON/OFF button on the lower keypad in the upper left corner. Booting up the WISARD: At the intro screen, press enter “File already exists continue Y/N?” appears then press enter once more and select the file Enter employee number: Enter your 6 digit employee number at the prompt and press. Page 1 of 4 July 6, 2009 Copyright ©2007-2009 WIS International WISARD-550 Operators Guide Tag/shelf entry: Scan the barcode on the bottom of the tag or enter the shelf number at the shelf prompt and press . Review: Press the left arrow key once on the lower key pad to search the last entry. Recording totals: At the last entry press once and your shelf totals will be displayed. Write the totals on the tag if applicable. Search entry/shelf/tag: In review mode (as described above) there are four options: 1) Press the left arrow key repeatedly to locate the entry. 2) Press the up arrow key up to search down by shelf, once the shelf is found, press the left or right arrow key to find the entry. 3) Press on the lower key pad and enter the 4 digit tag number and 2 digit shelf number. Then follow step 2 to find the entry. 4) Press and then to search for a specific SKU or UPC as opposed to looking by tag/shelf. Searching totals: To recall totals from a previous shelf, enter review mode as described above then press up arrow key to find the shelf. Then press on lower key pad. To view the totals of the current shelf, press . Press when done to return to normal data entry. Clarity Design, Inc. Press then press on the lower keypad. Press at the “Are you sure? Y/N” prompt. Delete shelf: Enter review mode as described above. Search using the up arrow key to locate the shelf. Press then press . Press when prompted. Delete tag: Enter review mode as described above. Use or the up arrow key to locate the shelf. Press then press . A password prompt will appear. Management will provide the requested password. Ending a tag: Press once to record your last shelf totals for the tag. Press once more for the shelf prompt. Press once more to view the grand totals for the tag. Press again to end the tag. The display screen will display a tag prompt again. Legend of displayed symbols: e – Entry mode (data entry, key or scan the product code) qe – Auto quantity one entry. (only one entry per scan) r – Review mode (use the left arrow key to enter into this mode) m – Modify (use to highlight and change an entry) Clarity Design, Inc. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. RF Exposure Limits To satisfy FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, this device should be used in hand-held, hand operated configurations only. While transmitting, the device and its antenna must maintain a separation distance of 20 cm or more from the person’s body, except for the hand and wrists, to satisfy RF exposure compliance. This device is designed to be used in a person’s hands and its operating configurations do not support normal transmissions while it is carried in pockets or holsters next to a persons’ body.
